Clapton is God.
Cream, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, The Who, The Doors, The Kinks. No, I'm not going to pick just one. So ner!
And Led Zeppelin - I and II were released in 1969. Ok, that doesn't really make them a '60s band, but I don't care, I love them. Same with Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd, he left in 1970, so I guess they are a '60s band.

I have to say, as far as these polls go, this one actually had good choices.
Kudos.

The Stooges.
ROCK
although they were better in the 70s
As for the others, it's hard to say. Dylan, the Beach Boys, the Stones and the VU all ruled in the studio, but the Who blew them all away live.
I'm gonna go for indie cred and say the Thirteenth Floor Elevators or Love.

Pah... of course there are only those popular with this generation on the poll :( I'm a really huge fan of oldies music but for this I picked The Rolling Stones, Cream... um... one or two of the other ones (I fogot *doesn't want to look back at the poll*) but mostly OTHER because there are more bands than those! :D yay for the 60's!
Bob Dylan, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Who.
