Is there any particular song that just makes you allaround feel good? Possibly a motivational song that makes you smile....

I just heard "I will be king" by the Wallflowers, it has probably been 2 years since I heard it last, what a truly great song..... anyone can get meaning from it.

ooooooooooh... good topic. I think you have to love that "Independence Day" song that Sean Hannity's show opens to. I think Martina McBride....

I agree, that is a good song... How about "there goes my heroi" by either everclear or the foo fighters (can't remember which). When Brett Hull left the St. Louis Blues after about 10 years as their leader they played that song, with little clips of his highlights.... very great tribute song..

ah, the magical tribute songs. I like those as well. When Mark McGwire broke the home run record the Cardinals fans put out a version of Filter's "Hey man, nice shot" that had clips from all his homers. Great tribute song as well.

changes often, but at the moment Nomad by Sepultura does the trick :)
before that it was probably Come To Daddy by Aphex Twin, or Microwaved by Pitchshifter

though a few months back my feelgood/motivational song was The Green Van Theme by Foghat (from Cheech & Chong's Up In Smoke :P )
and you can never go wrong with Stairway To Heaven (Zeppelin)

Hmm. How about "Freak Scene" by Dinosaur Jr? Or "Cruel Honesty"* by the Carpettes?

*I don't know why this song makes me happy, as the song itself doesn't seem particularly happy.

Hmm, I quite like "Today", but it doesn't uplift me. It's rather a sad song, I'd think...
Today is the greatest day I've ever kown
Can’t live for tomorrow, tomorrow’s much too long
I'll burn my eyes out before I get out

I wanted more than life could ever grant
Bored by the chore of saving face

Today is the greatest day I've ever known
Can’t wait for tomorrow, I might not have that long
I’ll tear my heart out before I get out

Pink ribbon scars that never forget
I’ve tried so hard to cleanse these regrets
My angel wings were bruised and restrained
My belly stings[...]

it's probably not the lyrics that makes one feel good. it's the music. sure, american pie is about the death of buddy holly but it still makes me feel good

My musical tastes fluctuate now and then, but right now my supersong is "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO. Expect that to change!

For now, I'd have to say The Odyssey, by Symphony X. Over 20 minutes of pure awesomeness... and it instills such a powerful feeling of justice and victory at the end... *goosebumps*

Marry me? Or atleast have my babies?

That is my favorite song of all time, since I was 4 or 5. Now it just reminds me of home and my friends. *sigh* lol

*Applause*

My second favorite song is Crazy Train.
By corrolary, my least favorite song is "let's go" by lil' john. Some songs should be protected aginst sampling by evil rappers.

And to all the inevitable accusations of being an old man, I would just like to say that i'm 17, okay?
