or so i see on T.V... And here is me thinking The U.S was above asking anyone for help?...but no BBC news informs me that the "worlds only super-power" has just asked Both Nato and Europe for help surely..it can not be so

Amazingly, there are people in the world who are able to politics aside when thousands of people are suffering because of a natural disaster. Clearly you are not one of them. I only hope that people are able to put their politics aside to help you if you ever fall victim to such an event.

My question is why do we need to ask for help at all? We've got the resources. It's just a matter of actually preparing for disasters, and using them efficiently when disaster strikes. The entire scenario has been one resource management SNAFU after another. Let's get our own act straight, then see if we need to ask for assistance.

But then again, it was by and large a U.S. notion because the other nations were busy rebuilding, thus the lack of seriousness nowadays, when the U.S. can do something just as well without its support.
