In Memory of DemonLordEnigma

Taken from this post I made earlier.

http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=9579150#post9579150

I have recieved horrible information today.

DemonLordEnigma has fallen in battle in Iraq.

She was one of the founding members of this alliance and will allways remain one. She will continue to occupy the third seat in the chambers forever.

That is the least we can do for her.

In the next few posts I would like members who have had contact with her over the months to say a few things about her.

The first time I met DLE was when Siesatia and myself responded to the Cherry Ridge incident. We were banded together defending the citizens of the island nation from "hostile religeous practices". The details can be searched for and this is not the time to bring up old scars, just memories.

DLE then joined ISEC as one of the FT nations helping flegling nations acheiving spaceflight along with Siesatia and myself. We continued that for some months until Christmas vacation made peiple forget about the thread.

During this time, we decided to form our own alliance together because our three nations complemented each other so well. We each constructed a third of the station that was to serve as the HQ for the Triad Alliance.

DLE also joined with ESUS and was a valued member there.

I set forth this proposal that all holding of DLE be put under the authority of the Triad Alliance to be forever run by Enigma (her leader) in her absence and fully defended in her memory by any of her fellow aliance members. If this does not pass I will take her nation under my protective wing and do so alone in her memory. DLE will remain in memory of all the good deeds she has done for my nation and her friends.

May you rest in peace, friend.

Currently, I don't really know what to say Balrogga. After reading your post, I was left utterly speechless. The only thing I can think of saying right now is that my heartfelt condolences go out to DLE's family, friends and soldiers in her unit.

I never had the honor of RPing with her (though I bet it would have been a good RP) but after being in the NS community for over two years whenever I hear of a loss of one of our brother or sister members it pains me to think that we probably just lost a brilliant person and a family lost a loving son or daughter, mother or father, brother or sister.
I hope DLE can find peace and that her family can know that she is in a better place.

Title Edited.

I'm sorry to see that this has happened...though I never really interacted with DLE, I knew of DLE's strong presence in the UN. I'll pray for their family.

Right now isn't a time to talk about whether or not you think the war is justified or think about any IC hostilities. This is a real person who was lost to us defending the country she loved.

I have never known anything other than the name DemonLordEnigma, but I'll miss her knowing what a vital role she played in this game and in her life.

My condolences to everyone who was touched by her in her life.

Whilst I do have some issues with Sarzonia saying that she was defending hanything, but I agree with the general sentiment behind that post. Another human being is gone. That's bad.

Not to pull away from anything, but this really needs to be in general, as seeing it was an OOC incident.

When I first stepped into this thread I thought that it would just say that DemonLordEnigma had just left NS peacefully. Now I wish that were true.

While I had the privelige of RPing with her only once, I know both from the respect other people had from her and from your responses now, as well as my limited experience, that she was a valued member of this site, worthy of all the respect she recieved. She will be missed. My thoughts go out to her family and friends, and I hope that, wherever we go when we die, she enjoys every moment of it.

I naturally extend my sincerest condolences to any who knew her.

If this is verified, would it be appropriate to post a note in her nation's talk page on NSWiki?

Not to pull away from anything, but this really needs to be in general, as seeing it was an OOC incident.

The reason I posted this in International Incidents is this is the forum DLE participated and all those who knew her would be here, not over in General. Many of those who knew her might never see the Thread if it was in General and therefore would never know until much later of her demise.

If I am wrong, please TG me but don't place it in here.

While I have had minimal contact with DLE over the years, I recognize her as a seasoned and competent player. Her loss to this country, as well as NS, is strongly felt. We'll all miss her.

"He who has done his best for his own time has lived for all times." -Siesatian Military Quote

DemonLordEnigma was one of my first true allies. Meeting first in the Cherry Ridge conflict, along with Balrogga, we found we made an excellent team. We went on to several other Role-Plays, eventually culminating in the Triad Alliance.

You joined ESUS, even though it was deemed unpopular at the time. Something that showed a strength of character, willing to help allies, even at the expence of one's own image.

You became infamous in the United Nations forums for your threads, and you were mentioned as one of the most influential nations in Nationstates, along with some of the best. You were a positive influence to every thread, something that Nationstate's sorely needs nowaday.

I remember, you told me back in june or july, that you would be going away for a while... Unfortunately, this turned out all too true. My heart and thoughts go out to your family, and I hope that you find peace in this war torn world.

Alliances, and their strengths reflect on the friendships of the nations. I was proud to call you friend and ally. Our time together was all to short my friend, you will be sorely missed.

DLE was a highly respected player amongst NS users. Her personality and her intelligence was one of extremely high caliber. She will be sorely missed by more than she could've possibly known. Although I did not have many opportunities to RP with her, she will be missed. She served her country with honor and distinction. DLE, you and your family will remain in our hearts and prayers. May God rest your soul.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen

Even though we fought (on NS), that doesn't matter. May she rest in peace, and may she be remembered as a brave person.

We are saddened by the loss of a good friend and ally and wish our most heart felt sympothies for the other friends and family of our fallen comrad.

The first RP on I.I. that I ever participated in was with DLE and Godular. I very much so enjoyed that time. The chance to RP with her more will be greatly missed.

While the time for RPing has passed, I'm sure that she will live on in our fond memories for all time.

Again, though I never had the privilege of talking to her directly, the loss of any life is a tragic and irreparable one, and one who may have impacted my own even more so. May her spirit live on in both whatever life hereafter she wished for and in the hearts of those who she graced with her time here.

I've never known DLE well, but I remember her as one of the first people I was awed by on my arrival to NS. Her strong presence will be missed here.

Since I really only frequent General and don't RP, I must day I didn't know DLE that well. However, I'd seen her about and read enough of her posts to know that she was an intelligent and interesting individual. Despite objective beliefs to the contrary, in some way one leads oneself to think that this sort of thing only happens on the news, not to 'real' people that one knows. While obviously I didn't know her personally, this is still a 'real' loss to this community we have online and really brings it home. My thoughts and deepest sympathies are with her family and friends.

May I ask where she was from , and service in what capacity? I cant find her name on the CNN roll of US soldiers killed.

There were no US women soldiers killed in Iraq in 2005...no details that I can find anyway.
