Everyone who likes music has some songs that they love, but might not be the most skillfully written, or may be "cheesy".
Im trying to compile a disc of songs that fits this bill, any suggestions?

I thought this was going to be something far more erotic...

As shameful as it is to admit, I am really, really addicted to that "Sugar, We're Going Down" song. I hate that I like it so much, but it's just so catchy! Argh!

I think Bon Jovi is the definition of guilty pleasure music. Unless you're from New Jersey, which you aren't.

yeah, of course - its my guilty pleasure music :P
Slippery When Wet is an awesome album, as are songs like You Give Love A Bad Name, Living On A Prayer and Raise Your Hands :)
other guilty pleasure bands for me might be LA Guns and Kingdom Come - 80s cheesy hair metal that a friend of mine happens to love... oh and Skid Row but they rock http://www.ironmaiden.org/images/smilies/devilfinger.gif

You know...early Genesis not withstanding...Phil Collins gives me hemmoroids.
Please let me make a suggestion for the elder generation before this thread is full of songs and artists that I have absolutley no idea who they are.
Percy Sledge's "When a Man Love a Woman". It was recorded in a garage, the sound is awful, the words are simplistic, and it is one of my all time favorites. I'll keep my Michael Bolton addiction a secret for now.

I'm fairly certain anything by 'Journey' fits nicely into your catagory, but i love them anyway.

Keep in mind, all musical tastes are subjective, but Steve Perry makes me want to stab him in the eye with a hot french fry.

You're quite right, but thats why its guilty pleasure music. :) In all fairness im there mostly for the killer combination of reverb, grand piano, and heavy distorted guitar solos.
