Erm, I'm not to sure about meeting a complete stranger, but I can give you a few tips abut the city.

Yeah, I start at ABB on the 12th. But I'll be moving stuff down in bits and pieces over the weekends for the whole month. There's no furniture there at all.

I will be back at uni by then...and bradford isn't the prettiest of towns...although its getting better :D

I can strongly recommend Joshua Brooks (http://www.joshuabrooks.co.uk/) (website is out of date, it has reverted to the original name and is no longer called Sofa, but the bespoke furnishings are intact) and Scu Bar (http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/48/486/Scubar/Manchester) (next to Aquatics Centre). Both are just off Oxford Street, running between the University of Manchester, MMU and UMIST campuses.

I'll be in Liverpool on the 21st, though I might be able to get to Manchester. (Though I might have no/little internet access from the 12th.)

Aye, money has been the limiting factor throughout the planning :( We plan to live very cheeply, anyway.

Like I said, my friend from London told me that Manchester has a great punk/music scene, I'd like to know about that. Also, any historic or cool sights/things to do around the city. Fun places to go/see/things to do, whatever advice you'd like to give would be appreciated :)
