This hurricane is saddening. If you wanna see change start here:

Write your Congressman:

http://www.house.gov/writerep/

Write Your Senator:

Write The President:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

This country belongs to the people and if we don't make our voices heard, then we no longer control it. Let them know, they serve us, the common people, not themselves.

Now it's time for action. Your fellow humans need help:

https://give.redcross.org/?rcohome800helpnow

Or

1-800-HELP NOW

My city in the Northeast noted for it's kindess and helping others, in just two fund raisers of the many going on raised 10 truck loads of goods and over $1,000,000 US Dollars. JUST TWO, ONE DAY FUNDRAISERS!! Over $300,000 in two hours.

Please if you can help, do so. I've donated, have you??

There are several posts on this exact subject in the forum. Why did you fail to use the search function before you posted this? Or, is it just that you were so filled with hubris that you thought yours was somehow special or different?

You could also help out by pushing the gas prices down
by riding mass transit.

Sorry your majesty I change the title, better??

The topic is different and don't make judgement calls about me, you don't know me, I don't know you. You saw the title you didn't have to read it. But you did, not my problem.

I have friends who are missing right now, so have a heart....

To Non-dunces and Shingogogol, that is good news about Seattle, and I will take the transit if it gets higher, but many American's do not have that option...

This is one time I am very proud of my city and state. We are hosting something like 20,000 New Orleans refugees. I went to the Salvation Army yesterday with baby formula, diapers, big cans of food, and socks. Either today or tomorrow I will be volunteering at one of the shelters (presuming the Red Cross gets back to me. They apparently don't want people showing up at the shelter, so they ask us to fill out applications.)
