One day, Steve the Happy Goblin was out walking. He saw a robot. It was happy.

But can you also sense the deeply hidden, heart wrenching desire held by the robot towards the obviously gorgeous Steve? It really comes to the fore in the next piece, la Bot happy et le Steve ticklement. Note the robot's phrase - "I am the happy robot. You may not tickle me." Can't you just see that this facade, this smokescreen of homophobicism presented by the sexually confused robot is all part of a deperate attempt to show his sexuality to the criticising eyes of the world? Or, just possibly, is the robot simply goading Steve into definitely tickling him, to fulfil their covert and overt mutual desire to be involved in this tickling orgy? Who knows? Only the next will tell.

EDIT: Indeed, this made Steve unhappy. Steve, quite clearly sure of his sexuality, is saddened by the robot's attempt to hide his inner self.

Do not compare the goblin to any other. He does not merely tickle. He has many moods, many dreams. He is a goblin.

This painting really brings out the issue of artificial intelligence. The goblin is obviously reaching out to the robot, but who knows if he will truly feel anything? Another amazing piece of art.

Ah, now there is an angle to be explored. If the robot cannot feel or emote, will its logic circuits allow it to indulge in this affair, or will it blankly refuse to participate in what is, to a soulless robot, a waste of precious RAM?

You see, I was proved right. Though the robot says "Blast you Steve!" he also says "I'll be back!" - back for more, perhaps?. Note the hidden ecstacy in that robot's face - the look of horror is definitely masking hidden joy and possibly a little pride in his encounter. The words "Blast you Steve", however, show that the robot has also been changed by the encounter, and rather than becoming more sure of his inner self, the robot has become more confused than ever. Perhaps a second encounter with Steve - and his ever-so-sexy green gimp mask - will help affirm the robot's preferences in life and love.

He just likes robots. He's an incredibly complex, yet somehow simple creature.Yet this is yet to be explored fully apart from in the deepest visible subconscious of Steve. For example, his relationship with Chris the Crab. What is his stance? Are the two merely friends, or something more? Did Chris show Steve the light through years of painstaking mentoring, or did the two just 'know'?

Whilst there has been some discussion, the higher authorities have yet to classify 'fluffle' as 'Tink lovin'. There's still time to change that.
