No, I'm not going to tell you exactly what Rammstein sings about, if that's what you thought I'd do.
Some Rammstein songs are rated adults only in Germany for good reasons. The lyrics are incredibly explicit and generally about topics that would make my stomache turn. It takes a bit to get used to.
Much to my surprise, I see plenty of Rammstein fans from all corners of the States on here whom I never would have expected to like the songs.
My question is, would you still listen to Rammstein if you knew what they were singing about?

Fishmilk in Laichzeit… Spiel Mit Mir… and then all the unpleasantry of Bück Dich… I do speak some German, and I understand the lyrics. I find the lyrics amusing.

I do speak some German and know what they are singing about. I still like the music if not all the vocals. I also listen to early Slayer.

Half the time you can't understand a single thing, that's true. I'm just likening the explicit lyrics of Rammstien to the crap that these guys spew.

I speak just enough German to get by as a tourist. I used to be into Rammstein. I haven't listened to them in a while though. Not because of the lyrics, just because I've been busy with other bands.

If anything, it would make me like them more if I knew what they were saying...amusement factor counts for something. I've always known some of their songs were explicit, I just never bothered to look them up.

the lyrics are pretty obscene and, well, disgusting. i don't listen to them anyway because metal is a bit too rough for my taste and the lyrics are also a big minus

I speak a smattering of German, but understand it (when spoken/sung) rather better. I see no reason not to listen to Rammstein because of the lyrical content. But then again, I like Booty Bass and Ghettotech

But I also possess as sense of humour, so I'm sure many would find that very objectionable, whereas I do not. (Though I realize it can be taken as very offensive, I reccomend laughing at offensivenesss...it takes away its power)

I find translations of the lyrics to the Rammstein songs I listen to. Explicit language has never bothered me.

Just because you listen to music with messed up lyrics doesn't make you a criminal. One of my favorite songs from NIN's "The Downward Spiral" is Big Man With a Gun. Doesn't mean I'm going to violently rape someone.

You can't judge them on their lyrics… I made absolutely HORRIBLE lyrics for some songs I've made. And Drunk Commies is right, it's more incestuous abuse.
