The purpose of this thread is to simply say what music you are currently listening to, and accompany your band/song with any brief comments or links regarding what you or somone else is listening too.

Me? Right now I'm listening to Angellore, by Tristania (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004YNBK/qid=1125435833/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/102-1202427-1186561?v=glance&s=music). This band is awesome, they successfully combine aggressive, powerful male vocals with hauntingly beautiful female vocals to create masterpiece after masterpiece. It's almost like Beauty and the Beast for metal.

You?

I'm listning to "Waterslide" by Mice Parade, from their album Bem-Vinda Vontade.

It's almost like Beauty and the Beast for metal.

Ugh, the growler+female twin vocalists thing is such a cliche in gothic metal.

Just switched from Angellore to Evenfall, and I challenge you to download (http://www.slsknet.org/) the song. It won't make you violent, it's not the typical metal people hear. While you're at it, check out Pale Enchantress too.

P.S. I actually enjoy a lot of the old school hip hop, it's the newer material that gives the genre a bad name, much like the misconceptions metal suffers from.

It's not gothic. You'll notice a large difference in Tristania's music if you bother downloading a song or two. ;)

P.S. Switched to Leper Messiah by Metallica (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000002H33/qid=1125437786/sr=2-2/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_2/102-1202427-1186561?v=glance&s=music). Oh yeah, MoP was one of the greatest metal albums ever released in my opinion. It's a shame the band ran out of ideas. :(

And I keep on missing the Jesus Christ show on Sunday mornings on KFI-AM640.

Flogging Molly f***ing rocks, but they're gaining popularity fast. I just hope they don't end up sacrificing their music for money.
