I dont know how many of you watched it, but there was a program on FX a few weeks ago (maybe months?) called Oil Storm. In this program, the US was brought to it's knees by a hurricane comming up out of the gulf and wrecking the oil platforms down there. Now, am I the only one that notices that THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING NOW?! And they are talking about using the SOR as well, and that provided another huge mess on the show.

Am I just paranoid, or are we in serious danger?

Relax dude, this won't torpedo the US economy. It's going to help trigger another recession, but we'll pull out of it and end up being better off for it. We'll learn to reduce our dependence on oil because oil will end up costing us alot of money.

Nah, were fine. WORST case scenario, if ALL offshore rigs were destroyed, the S.O.R. could replace the production for up to a year, enough time to repair or replace most of them. And as far as the refinerys, I'm pretty sure there was no major damage.

We'll just rebuild, protest oil and gas prices and stop using them by riding/driving horses, donkies, cows and oxen again until gas and oil is buyable, as in a dollar for twenty gallons:D

I dont think so. I have seen it used in that aplication before, and I must say I dont care for it. If I dont want to read the answer, I will just scroll down (or up, depending on the site). Plus, if you need to print the page, any and all information hidden in the little boxes would be lost.

I'm way ahead of you there. Except for the Montana part.

I stopped paying attention to FX after they made Nip/Tuck, and I also tend to give movies credibility in predicting the future, much less tv movies. They're just there for a quick profit or propoganda, which is the same reason I'll never watch Farenheit 9/11 even though I don't like Bush. For as much as I dislike him I dislike political propoganda even worse.
