Yes, a meeting of 350 corporate leaders and their friends, the polititians.
As normal the usual protesters are out there too.

These rich folk, need protection! The security bill is estimated at $AU 3 million. Guess who's paying for it, the Australian taxpayer as usual.

It should be protected. That area of the world has the fastest growing economy. Australia should be greatful, for normally, its small population and desolate landscape would make it be wrote off. But its European heritage makes it well poised to take advantage of this great age of prosperity. You, along with the protestors, are just ungrateful.

Considering that many of the protesters involved are campaigning for greater aid towards undeveloped nations, I highly doubt that they are unaware of just how good we have it.

It's funny they need protection in the first place. If they were the saviours of this world, you wouldn't require hundreds of police to keep out opposing opinions.

Saviors are supposed to say things others don't want to hear in order to get salvation. Jesus was actually crucified for this reason.

Jesus would not approve of meeting which a bunch of rich people get together and talk about how much money they can make in future at the expense of other people. Given we don't get to find out what they talk about (apart from the grandstanding), the ordinary person can be excused for being cynical about their motivations.

Great, so you just assumed something about my religion based on your biases. I'm just saying that many feel Jesus as a savior now. That wasn't the case when he was alive. I guess that will happen when people like you get into power, and decay the economy by surpressing free enterprise. Maybe then, people will give businesses the respect they deserve.

If their business is so vital that they must all meet together, they can pay for the security. AU$3m split 350 ways is just AU$8571 each. Compare that to the price of their first-class plane tickets and hotel bills. They, or at least their companies, can easily afford it.
