Yesterday, Sun 08/28 the great Rev. Al Sharpton came to Crawford in support of Sheehan. Well Sharpton spent a little too much time hanging out with the anti-war trash and became late for his flight out of DFW. Sharpton ordered his driver to make up for lost time and the driver of the limo sped up IH35 to try to make the flight. A DPS Trooper in Ellis Co. clocked Sharpton's limo on radar at 110 mph in a 70 mph zone. The Trooper made the stop and arrested the limo driver for reckless driving (more than 35 over and the Trooper can do that). Sharpton's name wasn't on the lease agreement so the Trooper couldn't release the limo to Sharpton. The Trooper offered to give Sharpton a ride to the DPS station so that Sharpton could wait in comfort for his new ride. Sharpton assed out and said that he had done nothing wrong and he would NEVER ride in a police car if he didn't have to. The Trooper drove off and left Sharpton on the side of IH35 in the heat with a cell phone!

Rev. Al Sharpton's driver arrested near Dallas
11:25 AM CDT on Monday, August 29, 2005
Associated Press
WAXAHACHIE - The Reverend Al Sharpton's driver is free on bail after sheriff's deputies say he was arrested for driving 110 miles per hour on an Ellis County highway near Waxahachie.
Jarrett Barton Maupin, 43, of Phoenix was freed on $1,000 bail after Sunday's arrest.
An Ellis County sheriff's spokesman said a deputy spotted a car containing Maupin and Sharpton speeding north yesterday afternoon on Interstate 35E, about 40 miles south of Dallas.
State troopers headed off and stopped the car just west of Waxahachie. Maupin told the troopers he was hurrying to get the New York civil rights activist and two other passengers to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
Williams said the car was impounded at the rental agency's request, and Sharpton and the two other passengers were offered a ride to a nearby hotel. They declined and said they'd walk, although there is no word on where they went.
Sharpton had been in Crawford earlier in the day to visit with Cindy Sheehan, who has been leading an anti-war vigil near President Bush's Central Texas ranch.

Just wait till he gets in front of another news camera-he'll be outraged. It will likely be worse than when he became Tawana Brawley's mouth piece.
Well good for him, I bet he wants a medal.
Not that I really give a-
(is horribly maimed by both Anti-War Protestors and Bush-ites)

Yup. Jesse Jackson is the same way.
The white supremacy movement also went to Crawford to protest with Cindy Sheehan too.

With or against?
Personally, I can't imagine skinheads siding with Sheehan.
...Once again I blame the media for blowing EVERYTHING out of proportion. Just like they did with Shiavo, Natalee Halloway and the Brad and Jen...thing....
Got to admit, it takes a lot of guts to chose not to get into an air conditioned car in favor of standing on the highway in August in Texas. Not much in the way of brains, but a lot of guts.

No guts involved. That's suicide. I hate the Texas heat. I avoid going out whenever possible.
Anyways, I don't see why Sharpton wasn't arrested, too, since the limo driver was acting on his orders (granted, he had the right to refuse, I'm sure).

The latest entrants in the saga of Cindy Sheehan vs. the White House are white supremacists, as they plan to rally against the Iraq War this weekend in Crawford, Texas.
Members of Stormfront.org are tossing their figurative hoods into the mix, as they invite supporters to come to Camp Casey to "let the world know that white patriots were first and loudest to protest this war for Israel."
"We don't want leftist Johnny-come-latelys who are misleadingly protesting this war – as if the war is about oil (not true), or as if it's right-wing patriots who launched this war (not true) – to hijack the issue from us," writes James Kelso, senior moderator of Stormfront.
"We want to challenge these leftists with the fact that their leftist leaders, like Hillary Clinton, are on the same war-for-Israel team as the cowardly Republicans who have been bought and paid for in the Senate, House, White House and media by the Jewish Neocon political machine."
Kelso is an assistant to David Duke, the Ku Klux Klansman and activist for European-Americans who was elected to Louisiana's Legislature in 1989, and more recently has served prison time for mail fraud and filing a false tax return.
Duke, himself, is speaking publicly about the California woman who demands a second meeting with Bush in connection with the war-related death of her son, Casey, who had volunteered in the Army.
In an online column, Duke gives a host of reasons why he believes Cindy Sheehan is right to oppose the conflict in Iraq, among them:
There were no weapons of mass destruction, no nuclear program, no uranium from Niger, no links with al-Qaida, no imminent threat to the American people;
if Americans were sent to die for democracy or justice in all the countries of the world we deem unjust or undemocratic, then we must be ready to send millions of our sons and daughters to war all over the globe;
the war is massively increasing hatred and terrorism. For every one terrorist killed in Iraq, we are creating thousands more who hate and want to hurt America and Americans; and
it has secured us no new or cheaper oil, it has cost a national treasure of hundreds of billions of dollars, it has alienated friends and allies, it has hurt American business around the world ... .
Duke also claims Sheehan believes her son died for the sake of Israel, though she has repeatedly denied she ever made such a comment.
However, Sheehan did make a connection with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a verbal tirade against the president this month in Dallas, stating:
"You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you'll stop the terrorism."
In a messageboard on Stormfront's website, a member with the pseudonym "Dixie Gal" provides strategy, as well as some practical advice for those attending this weekend's planned rally.
"This war needs to be stopped, our troops brought home. Then our dear president needs to put the troops on the Mexican border, to keep out all these illegals! Have a safe trip, and give Cindy our support! P.S. Don't forget your sunscreen!"

I'm fairly sure if you look for it you will find unpleasent people on both sides of this protest.

Absolutely right. They have news programs on 24 hours a day and not nearly enough material. they have to make stories, stir the pot, hit the beehive with a stick-anything to fill the time in between commercials.
I personally like an asshole reporter -soaking wet, in 75 mph winds, wearing goggles leaning into the winds of Katrina for hours on end-talking to anchors in a dry studio, thoughtfully sipping coffee- because I need that type of coverage. I need reports within moments of everything that happens. When a roof blows off, or a guy in a car starts down river, I need that live.

I heard that and also that Al is screaming racism. The driver was pulled over because he was black... :headbang: I guess Al thinks the 110 mph has nothing to do with it.

Yeah-and a racist cop could see the driver of a limo-windows tinted? doing over 100 mph?
its always racist with this fat tax evading scum bag.
just like Tawana Brawley and the racist assault that never happened.

Too many cars for that most of the time on IH35, though. I've made that drive many times, and most of the drivers out there are not very good at getting out of the way.
And yes, Sharpton would have to have quite the martyr complex to stand out in the Texas heat rather than get in the car.

Regular Jews. Extra-terrestrials are just a Jewish conspiracy to abduct future world leaders living in rural America so they can maintain their domination of the world.
