Does anyone remember the Rutger Hauer Guinness ads?

He was telepathic in one...

The Rutger Hauer ones I'm thinking of (ESPECIALLY the telepathic one) would have been late 80's? Or early 90's?

Er... Yeah 98 or a bit earlier would be about right. No later anyway. I'm definitely too young for the Rutger Hauer ones though - DOB:1987. What happened?

Well - here's the thing. I know a lot of people who saw the 'telepathy' ads, with Monsieur Hauer, but they all look at me crazy when I talk about the one I saw late one night...

I'm pretty much just trying to se if I AM crazy, or if anyone else remembers a comment about 'Horace'....

(Not trying to give too much away here - don't want to lead any witnesses).

I remember them, I loved tose ads. He looks just like a pint of guinness with his black coat and white hair. He appeared in a recent one for Guinness extra cold too. And Sin city. Way to go, Rutger. welcome back.

Indeed. I'm personally of the opinion, that Guinness has yet to make the equal of the classic Rutger Hauer advertisements. Rutger rocks.

i remember rutger in Sin City, but that was pretty recent. OH! he was in this terrible movie a while back. played a cyborg. fought with a big arsed knife. IN THE FUTURE. no guinness tho.

I always liked Rutger Hauer. I dont remember the Guiness ad though, sorry. And I've been around a while.

There were quite a few of them, I seem to recall - from an almost Tim Burton-esque descent (into a watch, perhaps?), to a nice piece of duplicate work, where Rutger Hauer was 'twinned' onscreen.

The only difference between the 'real' Rutger and his 'brother'? They 'sound different'... he says, as he taps on his duplicates hollow metallic head... :D

Does ANYONE remember the telepathy one? Ran near Christmas? Rutger 'sent out a message', with some girl standing behind him, pressing her fingers to his head...
