You are correct of course. There's not enough cohesion naturally to make a solid spear of urinal doom. I was just noting the angle... there's no way an unassuming person would be standing at that angle. Is it even POSSIBLE to stand at that angle? I know I can't do it.

there is an article that goes with it when i first saw it. the urine was leaking from the plane and running down the side where it froze, then that piece broke off and thats what we see in the picture.

Possible, but highly unlikely. That spear is uniform width from top to bottom. A dripping "spear" would be thicker on one end and really thin on the other. Essentially, it would look like an icicle. Also, the angle is entry is way off, as I mentioned before.

Well, lets look at that angle again.

If the person was standing, it would go through her head or one of her shoulders, straight through her body, laying down on the ground extending from the upper part of her body.

If the person was lying down looking up (for some reason), her right leg would not be bent backwards as if she fell to that position. In addition, dropping from an airliner (which flies 5 miles high going 600 miles an hour), this urinal spike of doom would achieve speeds in excess of 350mph. That is enough power that if the person was struck in the gut, the spear would stab all the way through the person and into the ground underneath.
