i'm voting for Chicago... hard-working, great schools (Northwestern and Univ. of Chicago), awesome skyline, great food (chicago-style deep-dish, chicago-style hot dogs are staples... great ethnic variety), mostly down-to-earth people.

it's a city of just under 3 million people (metropolitan area of about 8 million).

however, as a packers fan, i need to add: the BEARS SUCK!
Eh-oh

Montreal. I just love bilingual cities, people tend to think differently somehow. It's so much more alive.

I guess that depends on what you mean by "greatest."

Overall, I'll vote Victoria, BC.

2. Vancouver
3. Portland, OR
4. Seattle
5. Boise
6. Austin
7. Calgary
8. Denver
9. Providence
10. New York City
11. Boston
12. Bismarck
13. San Antonio

Of course, I've listed these cities because I've not yet been to Toronto, Chicago, New Orleans (and it might be too late...), Miami, Pittsburgh, Montreal, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Halifax, and many others. Mind you, I have been to Houston, Detroit, Dallas, Hartford, Spokane, Tacoma, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Orlando, Nashville, Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, Wichita, Cheyenne, Salt Lake City, and a few others.

New York. Because the only other one I've been to was Boston, and I like New York a lot better. And it's much closer, the people there don't suck as badly at driving, and the shopping and food are better.

Guess i'm the only one voting Washington :D Granted the parts closest to the Beltway are all ghetto-y, but you can't beat the rest of the city for history, culture, and aesthetics.

Vancouver is consistantly rated the best city in Canada, so why is it not on the poll? Also as I said in the other thread with this name, that Vancouver is rated the best city in NA to party in. Thats Why I'm voting Vancouver.

I voted for D.C because it is the only city in the States that I have been to where all the political debating goes on behind closed doors :D

Poor taste, poor spelling. On a scale of 1 to 10 your post gets a -2.

How come I never noticed this mispelling the first three times. Damn dyslexia.
