To me, it's going to be the posters who really stick out in my memory, for good or for ill.

Some of those posters are:Portaria, Jocabia, Jordaxia, Carnivorous Lickers, Sdaeriji, Vittos Ordination, Occidio Multus, Alien Born, Whispering Legs, Santa Barbara, Bozzy, Ashmoria, Dempublicents, Nadkor, Neo Anarchists, Dobbs World, Drunken Commies, Cogitation, Melkor Unchained, Laerod, Swimmingpool, Willamena, The Cat Tribe, Niccolo Medici, Tink, Lavicious Maximus, Kanabia, Keruvalia, Eutrusca, Colodia, Cournelieu, VoteEarly, Kahta etc etc...

I make no claims about the greatness of any of these posters...they are just some that have stuck in my mind...

Gates the God (for creating and maintaining the largest player-created region in NationStates and for keeping it focused and effective in acheiving its long-term goals)

Powerhungry Chipmunks, Mikitivity (for having the largest influence on UN legislation)

1 Infinite Loop (for being an awesome flag-maker and an amazing delegate who has managed to keep the East Pacific stable for longer than I thought possible)

Francos Spain (for being one of the most controversial and influential delegates/players ever)

Nastic (for having an insane amount of puppets and being active and involved and helpful in a ridiculous number of regions)

Parratoga/inter alia (for being one of the most fascinating and prolific forum posters ever)

Bottle (for kicking ass in forum debates for years and actually earning respectability doing it)

Because most of the Nations posting names here are post-Beeker nations...They have only heard the stories of the epic battles...

Most of the names I see nominated dont seem to have made as much of a difference in the forums as the people that were here for the first 6 months to 1 year of NS's life.

By the time I came on the bracket nations where almost like Jedi-style myths. The only one left was [violet] and people like me would be stunned that clicking on the nation would send you to the 'Create Nation' page or something. Young nations would be amazed and some old timer would explain it to us, but not thouroughly so until now I really only thought it was just [violet].

Some dude that called him self "jebemvassve" then after he godt banned changed to the same name but had a number after number 2 the first time he got band 3 the second, and after a while he did not come back. I remember him starting the death to america thread and allways closed his posts with a smiley representing americans and a sniper shoting at the smilyes, long tine ago 4 months i think

Like you, I'm quite a bit older than I appear to be (not quite as old as you are even with your current nation), but I also lurked with a different nation before creating Jocabia and beginning to post on the forums.

I'd like to second that comment. I've never had anything but good experiences with the mods (even though I sometimes disagree with them) even in debates. I never encountered Euroslavia until s/he became a mod, but I have seen a lot of his/her rulings and they have been very reasonable and patient. I'm thoroughly impressed thus far. That and five dollars will get Euro a cup of coffee.

I suggest this thread be renamed to "General Forum Hall of Fame"

People are more than welcome to nominate people from the other forums. There is no reason not mention everyone that helped make NS great.

EDIT: Found her. Chess Squares. Definitely Chess Squares. That's still one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Lacadaemon used to just lay into her on that one. I loved that.

I agree with this. I think a large portion of the people nominated fit in this category, however.
