Internal consumption only.

It's like Bush's Mars plans, or the Chinese lunar programme. Everyone knows they don't have the resources, but it sure sounds good.

The whole AMrs thing isn't impossible. We just need bigger space craft for the fuel and supplies. Over a year in space can mess with people's minds. They feel like they can fly.

Why in the name of all that is reasonable does Malaysia want to go to the feckin moon?I mean,we all know there's nothing there.

And you know this how?cabin fever would prob be the biggest thing to worry about.spending a year in an enclosed space with a few other people....its like a zero gravity big brother

Best part of the article:
"But such dreams were almost immediately called into question when the first batch of would-be space explorers struggled with a simple fitness test."

"On Saturday, the first group from a shortlist of more than 800 would-be astronauts set out to run 3.5km (two miles) in a leisurely 20 minutes.

All were hoping to claim Malaysia's seat on a Russian-led space mission, scheduled for 2007.

But only 12 out of 31 taking part passed the test. "
