Trexia

1. Nationality (or if you prefer, "American or not?")
not american. european.

2. For or against abortion?
for before week 19 where the foetus gains conciousness and self-awareness. where i argue it becomes "human" or, more simply 'alive'

3. For or against the death penalty?
dead against (haha)
the state has no right to murder people.

4. Do you support George W. Bush?
absolutley not.

5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"?
absolutley not but now its started, we (the coalition) cannot pull out - doing so may stop our troops being killed (which is what they sign up for last time i checked), but it would leave Iraq in such a bloody mess. we started, so we must finish, no matter the cost.

6. What should be done about Iran?
no opinion/not enough information

7. What should be done about North Korea?
no opinion/not enough information

anarcho-communist communitarian. check out my crazy-ass views in the manifesto at www.udcp.org :D

9. Liberal, Conservative, Moderate, Marxist, etc.?
why this question?
surely it would make more sense to ask about economic ideology in one question and political/governmental ideology (democracy, anarchy, monarchist, etc) in this one....

10. Favorite government leader?
Mohandas K Gandhi, father of India.
or Gordon Brown, UK Chancellor Of The Exchequor

11. Least favorite governement leader (excluding Hitler)?

Gymoor II The Return
28-08-2005, 00:35
1. American
2. I'm for choice, but against the factors that make abortion a necessity
3. For, as long as a very high burden of proof is upheld
4. No. Worst President Ever.
5. Nope. I do support the troops and have faith in their professionalism. War is hell, though and it creates hard decisions and leads to mistakes.
6. Diplomacy and pressure. I do not like the proliferation of nuclear weapons, but I can accept well supervised nuclear power plants.
7. see 6
8. socio-capitalist
9. Liberal, but open to good ideas from anywhere
10. Don't have one, though the Rossevelts and Jefferson are right up there
11. Too many to list and for different reasons.

1. Nationality: Canadian
2. For or against abortion? Against

6. What should be done about Iran? Leave 'em alone.
7. What should be done about North Korea? Ditto
8. Capitalist, socialist, or communist? Capitalist.
9. Liberal, Conservative, Moderate, Marxist, etc.? I'd think of myself as a Libertarian, but I'm more sympathetic to Conservatism than Liberalism.

11. Least favorite governement leader? Joseph Stalin and Mao Tse-Tung were both worse than Hitler.

3. For or against the death penalty? Against except in the most extreme of cases.

5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"? Yes. We've gotta stay at least until the Iraqi government has a firm ground to stand on.
6. What should be done about Iran? Their nuclear ambitions should be ended. Simple as that.
7. What should be done about North Korea? Same as above, but Kim Jong needs to go. If forced has to be used, then use it. I seem them as more of a threat to the world and America than Iran.
8. Capitalist, socialist, or communist? Capitalist. The only one that works.

For the most part.
5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"?

7. What should be done about North Korea?
Nothing is gonna happen in Korea, I say just leave it be until it changes.
8. Capitalist, socialist, or communist?
Capitalist.
9. Liberal, Conservative, Moderate, Marxist, etc.?

1. Nationality (or if you prefer, "American or not?")
American.
2. For or against abortion?
Against, though no practical method of criminalizing it exists and probably never will, so it should remain not illegal (as opposed to legal, which implies approval.)
3. For or against the death penalty?
Only in the most extreme situations. I mean people like Stalin or Hitler. Those who kill millions of people for no justifiable reason. Also, during war time, if no method of effectively trying POW’s exists.
4. Do you support George W. Bush?
No, but I don’t hate him, and view the majority of his opposition as childish.
5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"?
No. I think we should follow the Libertarian Party’s pullout plan.
6. What should be done about Iran?
Allow our businesses to pursue economic interests in the region.
7. What should be done about North Korea?
As authoritarian communists they have no economic interest for us. We should protect our ally South Korea from them, but little else. If they attack, they should be swiftly invaded by a US-led coalition, if only because of our commitment to the South.
8. Capitalist, socialist, or communist?
Free-Trade Capitalist
9. Liberal, Conservative, Moderate, Marxist, etc.?
Libertarian
10. Favorite government leader?
Czar Peter the Great

(10 and 11 are in history)

1)I'm American
2)Against abortion
3)For the death penalty
4)Bush is ruining this country. Not that the Democrats have anyone better...we need some new politicians.
5)The Iraqi war was a huge mistake, but it's too late to pull out now. We have to see it through.
6)Iran's leaders are sane enough that I think the world has no choice but to let them proceed, but we'll have to watch like hawks to make sure they don't use their "civilian" nuclear program for military purposes. We won't be able to stop them, but we can make it more trouble than it's worth.
7)Kim Jong Il is freakin' nuts. Something has to be done about him, but I don't know what.
8)Capitalist
9)Conservative (not a "neo-conservative" like Bush and his freak show)
10)Prime Minister Koizumi of Japan
11)Tie between Kim Jong Il of North Korea and Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe

I didn't realize at first that 10 and 11 were from history so here goes--
10)Alfred the Great of England
11)Benito Mussolini of Italy

1. Nationality (or if you prefer, "American or not?")
Irish/European

2. For or against abortion?
For in the cases of rape incest and/or endangering the mothers life.

3. For or against the death penalty?
Against- Hell even Ivan the Terrible thought it inhumane!

4. Do you support George W. Bush?
No- i think he's an ineffectual leader who to be honest doesn't know what the hell he's doing atanytime of the day.

5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"?
No. I thought it laughable the excuses used to justify it- the world could see it coming months in advance.

6. What should be done about Iran?
They're a sovereign state that democratically elected their own leader (just because its not 'Western' democracy doesn't mean its invalid in their eyes.) They can do what they like.

7. What should be done about North Korea?
Let them wallow in their own crapulance. If there is ever a problem in East Asia- China'll sort em out.

8. Capitalist, socialist, or communist?
Apolitical.

9. Liberal, Conservative, Moderate, Marxist, etc.?
Liberal minded- in the Millian sense.

10. Favorite government leader?
Genghis Khan/Subetai Bat'auer (his genius of a general)

11. Least favorite governement leader (excluding Hitler)?
Ariel Sharon/Pol Pot (not equating the two, but you did ask :D

1. Nationality (or if you prefer, "American or not?")
American.
2. For or against abortion?
For, up until the third trimester.
3. For or against the death penalty?
For in cases of murder one, violent rape, and child molestation.
4. Do you support George W. Bush?
On what? He's half-ass. I probably dislike more about him than I like, but I like the major things.
5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"?
Yes, despite the fact that it was pursued on misinformation. It's good for the Iraqi people, it's bad for many of the terrorist organizations receiving money from Saddam, it will probably end up costing less lives than another 9/11 style terrorist attack would cost, Saddam was a prick. There were more important targets, however.
6. What should be done about Iran?
Stop them from pursuing nuclear capabilities, sooner rather than later. Obviously it would be preferable to do so without war, but appeasement is definitely not an option, and I don't see many others right now.
7. What should be done about North Korea?
Couldn't say. It's a bit late to use force or be diplomatically aggressive, so we're a tad screwed in this situation. Kim is a dangerous guy, and should be removed. I'd suggest assassination, but I'm sure he's got plans worked out to be executed in such an event.
8. Capitalist, socialist, or communist?
Capitalist.
9. Liberal, Conservative, Moderate, Marxist, etc.?
Moderate, slightly right of center.
10. Favorite government leader?
Caligula. :D You didn't say best.
11. Least favorite governement leader (excluding Hitler)?
Meh. Stalin or Mao, if forced to choose. There have been a ton of bad ones.

3. For or against the death penalty?
Against.
4. Do you support George W. Bush?
For the most part, not so much.
5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"?
Hell, no. Waste of American and Iraqi lives, and taxpayer money, with little or zero actual compensation.
6. What should be done about Iran?
We have enough to worry about, still stomping out flareups in Iraq.
7. What should be done about North Korea?
See above.
8. Capitalist, socialist, or communist?
Capitalist.
9. Liberal, Conservative, Moderate, Marxist, etc.?

1. Nationality US Citizen
2. For or against abortion? Pro-choice--personally, I don't like abortion, but my likes and dislikes shouldn't be forced onto other people's bodies.
3. For or against the death penalty? Anti-death penalty, mainly because our system is shitty and we convict innocent people all the time. Any time we're talking about depriving a person of his or her life, we'd better be absolutely sure we're right, and the current system does not allow for that. I don't know that any system would allow for it, to be quite frank.
4. Do you support George W. Bush? Fuck no.
5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"? Fuck no.
6. What should be done about Iran? In what sense? Nuclear proliferation? A recent report from the IAEA noted that the only evidence we had that Iran was enriching uranium to weapons-grade plutonium came from parts that were contaminated from Pakistan. Besides, there's not much we can do--our military is bogged down in Iraq and China has basically guaranteed Iran's safety as long as they supply them with oil.
7. What should be done about North Korea? Again, not much we can do. Right now, NK is more of a concern for China and our Asian allies than for the US mainland, which is good since we can't really do anything to them short of nuking them anyway, and I'm sure our allies would rather we didn't do that.
8. Capitalist, socialist, or communist? I'm a capitalist, but I believe that government should exert strong controls on business--environment, labor, and human rights come before profits. I also believe that there are certain industries that are too important to be left to the whims of the market--public utilities and health care are the primary examples of that.
9. Liberal, Conservative, Moderate, Marxist, etc.? Liberal
10. Favorite government leader? Don't have one--they're all douchebags.
11. Least favorite governement leader (excluding Hitler)? See question 10, although there are various levels of douchebaggery to be attained.

Heh, I don't know, I just thought it was a bit funny how uncanny your resemblance to my stereotype was. And I'm actually for the legalization of pot on private property, as long as there are huge penalties for leaving private property while under the influence, or for using in public. And yes.

Well, the wealthy can always afford to buy more health care. I'm a bit more concerned about the current unfairness to the poor and underemployed.

And as for the spat over DPRK's missiles, they have tested several able to reach past Japan, including one that landed in Alaska (http://times.hankooki.com/lpage/nation/200303/kt2003030417272311970.htm) (and that, my friends, could have been worked into possible grounds for war). They probably don't have a nuclear warhead suitable for a missile yet, but quite possibly within the next several years they'll have one able to reach the west coast of the US. It's just a question of how long the current regime can hang on.

we ought to let Japan have a modern military

Why are so many people so ignorant about this? (That's a serious question. I see misinformation posted on Japan, particularly the SDF and article 9, quite often here.)

1) Japan has a significant and very modern military. In fact, it has a larger military than the UK in terms of manpower and budget.
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/japan/jda.htm
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/japan/index.html
http://www.strategypage.com/dls/articles/200522521.asp

2) It's not a matter of "allowing" Japan to have a military. The US was responsible for Japan's having that military in the first place.

Evictionist. That means you can't kill a child that can survive birth, but you can start the delivery when you want, even if the fetus is not big enough to be born.

3. For or against the death penalty?

Everyone hated my first survey, so here's a better one about a month and a half later:

1. Nationality (or if you prefer, "American or not?")
Not.
2. For or against abortion?
Pro-choice, would not have an abortion myself and feel the father should be given a choice too, i.e. being able to sign away his parental rights in exchange of not paying childsupport.
3. For or against the death penalty?
Against. It's not just that it is immoral, it doesn't even work either.
4. Do you support George W. Bush?
I think there are only a handfull non-Americans who do and I'm not one of them.
5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"?
No. I started opposing after the famous statement of George W. Bush: "Either you're with us, or against us." I don't want to be associated with people that ignorant, which was reason enough for me to ignore the rest of the issue. Why am I against it? Cause Bush told me so.
6. What should be done about Iran?
Well, considering they have a mere one letter difference with Iraq, I say nuke 'em...
7. What should be done about North Korea?
We should stimulate the people to liberate themselves, that'll make 'em feel proud. They'll reorganize their country with a great respect for it.

10. Favorite government leader?

11. Least favorite governement leader (excluding Hitler)?
Well, I don't think Hitler is the only obvious choice here. I'll go with George Bush Senior. Although he is not very historical, I think he made one of the stupidest plans ever: the weapon missile defence system or something, better known as the Star Wars plan. It doesn't work, but still he went on and financed research and development. How silly is that?

How can socialists support Winston Churchill? The man was a dick, Let's just look at a few of the things he said and a few things that he did-

He advocated the gassing of "uncivilised tribes"
He wanted to destroy the very notion of communism and was key in getting Britain to intervene in the Russian civil war
He wanted to stop India from gaining its independence
He repeatedly complimented Hitler and only turned against him as soon as he threatened British interests
He labelled himself as an anti-socialist
He wanted to use machineguns on the miners strikes of '26
He often said he thought fascism was a great idea
He sponsored a coup in Iran.

It is beyond me how any self-proclaimed anti-capitalist could ever support this imperialist fuckwit

No, annexing is when you march your army into another country and everyone goes "hooray, nice to see you!", like Austria before WW2.

And I wouldn't call anyone a terrorist for defending their country, although I know the accepted US definition is "Anyone who fights us without a proper army uniform".

About this, Mao Zedong didn't really kill them on purpose. A disastrous economic policy killed them. He couldn't do anything if he wanted to. China was a big huge mess. He killed them because he didn't care and shipped all the food they desperately needed to other communist nations so he could satisfy his desire for weapons. What makes this even worse is Mao's utter failure to even remotely achieve his desire to "control the Earth", as he put it. The plan tanked and 30 million Chinese died needlessly. Mao was a monster, he alone is responsible for more deaths than Hitler and Stalin.

Choice of mother. But not to be encouraged or subsidized unless in life threatening situations.

3. For or against the death penalty?

4. Do you support George W. Bush?
No comments on his domestic policies. His foreign policy sucks in many areas and its effects remain to be seen. But he has boldly shaken the inertia of Indo-US relations and taken it to the highest level yet. So as an Indian, I would support him for that.

5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"?
No. But given the current situation, I support US staying there and make Iraq a stable sovereign democracy.

6. What should be done about Iran?
Offer talks, cooperation and ending trade embargoes and find out what they want in return for giving up nuclear ambitions. Iran is the stablest country in the region and a shia Iran can be an ally against the pan-islamist forces if played correctly. Iran is not the country as it is portrayed in US media.

Nothing can be done about North Korea since they are China's cat's paw. Take care of China and NK will be taken care of.

3. For or against the death penalty? - Against. It's too much of an easy way out.

4. Do you support George W. Bush? - I agree that we should take a tougher stance against threats than what we've been doing in the past, but only threats should be treated as threats

5. Do you support the Iraqi "war"? - Not at all. It feels good to say that we've liberated the Iraqis, but we have our own big problems we need to fix and there are countries that need liberating a lot more than what that one did.

6. What should be done about Iran? - I'd play this one by ear for now.

7. What should be done about North Korea? - Get the okay to go to war and whoop their asses. It's clearly a threat to us and just trying to see how many times they can get us to chase them in circles, they're probably trying to distract or trick us. NK's not too bright, but crafty.

8. Capitalist, socialist, or communist - Capitalist.... I think... that's the one that gives the most personal freedom of the three, right?

9. Liberal, Conservative, Moderate, Marxist, etc.? - Depends. It's an issue-by-issue basis.

10. Favorite government leader? - Not sure

11. Least favorite governement leader (excluding Hitler)? - Still not sure

12. Same as 10, but current - Same as above

13. Same as 11, but current - ditto

14. Do you think that Tony Blair handled the attacks well? - If he did something to punish those idiots who shot and killed an innocent man then I would've said yes.

15. Where are, if any, the next terror attacks going to be? - Who knows... terrorists are like Bush in the way that they don't really appear to have any line of logic in deciding where to attack next. If they did the WTC would still be standing and they would've left us the hell alone in the first place. Combining that with their utter lack of geographical skills (Anyone with a 2nd-grade map reading skill can find the White House) their next attack will probably be aimed at China for no apparent reason but will hit France.
