To whom would you give power and might?

What person, apart from yourself, would you endow with vast power if you had the opportunity to do so?

I'm thinking John Paul II. Not Ratzinger, he doesn't have the same leadership qualities… and not Gandhi, as he had some strange ideas. Maybe Goofballs.

Octavian "Augustus" was a great leader let him take power nowadays :)

The decision would not be mine alone. I'd give everyone a limited amount of time to nominate someone else and debate their choice to me. Then I'd weigh up their arguments, check my recommendation with a group of random humans then deem it so if all is okay.

Understanding other points of view is hardly a good reason. By that logic, a Socialist shouldn't have any problem appointing me to power; after all I am able to understand those policies, even though I have nothing but contempt for them.

McCain was alright back in 2000 wiped the floor with Gore], but I've lost a bit of respect for him lately.

youve obviously never used "force fire" command in EE or C&C. It gets so boring playing those games sometimes.....

Ghandi sounds about right IMO. If not Ghandi, then Buddha (I'm not Buddhist, but I still think Buddha pretty much had the right idea about people.)

I honestly (even though you don't allow it) would pick me, because if I was that powerful, I'd probably have the power to resist using it too.
If that isn't possible, a blood relative would have to do. There's nothing like being related to the most powerful being on earth, is there? ;)

I would give it to my husband (Zep) he's the only person I've ever known who never puts himself first, always thinks of others and never abuses the authority he already has (We own our own business) He cares, he's not corrupt and he is by far the smartest man/woman I have ever listened to or known!

lol, I am actually by coincidence listening to a song about the fight between the Dark Lord and Fingolfin - "Time Stands Still (At the Iron Hill)" by Blind Guardian. It's on their album Nightfall in Middle-Earth.

His country would probably end up something like Mao's China. I have a feeling that he would be well-intentioned, but useless at running a country.
