Just an idea I'm throwing out there...

It's based on something I read on the NS Freedom Pact, I noticed when sifting through Kat's Blog. Anyway, there's a rumour out there NS2 will be a pay game. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a member of the NSFP or even a supporter. But they have one good point. I would be more than willing to pay for "perks".

Imagine it:

Increased Telegram Space: $5
Double Population Growth: $25
Second UN Account: $30

etc...

Just an idea I'm, you know, throwing out there...

It isn’t a rumor. Max has said it’s going to be that way.

You should be.

The problem with paying for privelages means that once again the more "wealthy" people will be able to dominate the game with larger and better countries.

And if you are trying to recreate a kind of real enviroment, the growth of a nation doesnt depend on how much money the ruler has.

Considering Jolt has a little ad running on the corner sometimes asking for an independant programmer, I'd say they haven't started yet.

Are the Roswell Aliens helping him?

And no, no I should not be a member of your weird-ass group.

I don’t even know what that is supposed to mean. I was just saying that it wasn’t a rumor.

Why are we weird? Because we recognize that those in power are oddly, sometimes irrationally inconsistent and that everybody shouting “Troll!” and “Flame!” every five posts does nothing to contribute to a discussion?

Perhaps it's because of the assertion made in that pact that we mods do nothing but ten minutes' work a day, then sit around the rest of the time deciding whom to delete.

Oh I just support the Pact because I want the social threads back. But that's just throwing it out there that I'm not blind to the amount of work done by mods, I honestly can't tell you how much work they do.

But I can say that I would like to reduce their workload by letting social threads come back in full force.

Some call it spam, I call the only threads that won't become a flame fest.

Look, speaking as soemone on the other end of ModJustice myself, I can say it does often seem that way. But they do a darn fine job, especially as unpaid volunteers.
