How do I change my profiles? Firefox quit out on me, so I tried to run it again and it told me to choose my profile. I choose default but it refused to let me since it was "already running." So I made a random new one and here I ****ing am.

A naked browser with none of the things I have grown accostemned (sp?) to.

Never happened to me yet. I can't help you cause my Firefox hasn't screwed up on me. I'll come to you when it does.

I assume you've tried restarting, right?

I've had that happen. What you do is you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and choose to kill the firefox process. Start Firefox again and it will not ask you to create a new profile. This doesn't help you now, but may in the future if it happens again.

Ahh...I thank you.

I just deleted the other profile and clicked on the default one.

I'm good now guys. Thanks.

I know the issue's been resolved, but just to add: although it's a bloody annoying glitch (it took me two fucking days to find that linked page first time it happened to me), it's actually quite a useful feature - so long as it doesn't fart on you like this.

That happened to me once, when I closed firefox and tried to start it up again. If you bring up your task manager... by pressing the Ctrl-Alt-Del © keys. Select the processes tab and kill the firefox that has somehow been left running.

You should be able to start it up again no problem.

EDIT: Someone beat me to it.
