:mad: i read in the ny times,that 2 illegal aliens sued some rancher for his property and won.
no opinion yet because i don't have all the facts..but..i did read on another sight that they actually gave them food and water then tried to turn them in to the ins.(border patrol..who found a gun)
the illegals claimed they where pistol whipped ,but did say they were fed and given water.
however,the owner of the ranch was a convicted felon in possession of a gun..so the court said he intimadated said illegals.
thay sued and now have possession of his property and the ranch owner is in jail(for illegal gun possession by a felon)

i'm pretty liberal,but...damn..if this is true(i will try to find the link)we lock up a citizen,albeit a convicted felon,but so am i..lol...and 2 illegals are sitting on his property...illegals...

2 illegal aliens are free and have possession of another illegall(american property ownr)he sits in jail for being illegal,yet they are completely illegal,in the country,yet they have his property.and are completely absolved of there crimes.

i think the illegals should be kicked out,the felon incarcerated,and the gov seize the property.

Like the second quote said a link would be great. There has to be more to it than this. Legally I cannot see how two illegal immigrints can obtain land like that. I don't think the gov should seize the property.

I'm highly skeptical of this. No court would have awarded the rancher's land to the illegals unless they had some valid claim to it.

thats what i heard about,what total b.s.
they are actually being rewarded for breaking the law....and the guy would not be in jail or losing his property if they HADN'T BROKEN THE LAW.

i use to support the southern poverty center,not any more.

that was just there way of pushing there political agenda and this guys is screwed for not wanting to be tresspessed on.hell,he could have shot and buried them out there and no one would have known.

this will probably make other property owners start killing the illegals for fear of a similar action against them,not to mention now all the illegals will try to provoke a confrontation in hopes of a similar settlement for them...what a freaking stupid system we have here :headbang:

I'm sorry, but was that REALLY called for? The fact is, they shouldn't have even BEEN over here! And yet they now own American land, when they have no RIGHT to it? That's outrageous! I also heard today that Arizona and New Mexico have declared states of emergency due to the overwhelming alien problem, and are urging Governor Schwarrzenager of California to do the same. Hey, it's about time!

Unfortunatly, that's probably the right idea. Or just use a taser, and throw them back over the border. There, morally straight, and slightly effective.

Yep. “Lawyers Gone Wild” bull crap like this is the reason so many illegals end up getting shot by ranchers and such.

No, everyone doesn't win. They'll eventually get deported when customs catches up with them. They have no right to the land. In fact, seeing as America's justice system has no authority over them, being that they're not citizens, then the ruling should not apply, and therefore they should NOT get the ranch.

Um.. I believe a nation's judicial system applies to all humans presently in the nation, barring diplomatic immunity.

Oh, and it would be logicat to presume that they were granted resident ailen status with their court victory.

Hopefully, this ranch can become a staging point for immigrants into the US. This decision could give thousands of people better lives.

While breaking the law! They should come here legally. Besides, if we had a flood of illegal immigrants, they'd steal all the jobs that some Americans need by offering to work for less pay. That's not right! Some people, like me, need gas money! We should work to improve internal issues, like our OWN poverty, before worrying about other nations!

Mr. Dees said Mr. Foote appeared to have no substantial assets, but Mr. Nethercott had the ranch. Shortly after the judgment, Mr. Nethercott gave the land to his sister, Robin Albitz, of Prescott, Ariz. The Southern Poverty Law Center sued the siblings, saying the transfer was fraudulent and was meant to avoid the judgment.

i'd say a 25 foot fence with razor wire,towers every 100 meters,a 25' wide minefield with all the neccassary"danger/peligro" signs and patrols with dogs.
