The Invasion Of Iraq Is Naked Imperialism- And No Bad Thing...

Just hold on a minute, forget WMDs they were just a crappy excuse for invasion, the invasion of Iraq was simply for reigme change. Now most people would see this as rather heinous, but not me as I shall attempt to explain.

The invasion of Iraq was a bad gamble. We have little to win, much to lose, and really bad odds against us.

As far as I can see the invasion of Iraq is about that amazing black wonder-stuff oil. The house of saud is hardly in the best of shapes and Iran is not being very pro-west at present. If Saudi Arabia was to close its gates, the the event of revolution or some such, Iraq seems ( in addition to Kuwait) the perfect place to extract Persian oil, oil to which most oil refineries are built for (you can't (easily at all) put another type of oil from another part of the world in the same refineries). Now Iraq is a nice country to extract the stuff but Iraq is (was) in the hands of a brutal dictator simple, invade the place and change the reigme to one that will let the west pump oil till the place is dry and better yet it can all by justified morally...

The bubble's about to burst, and when it does, everything will improve dramatically.

Why is war for oil considered evil? Many wars have been to secure resources, and since our society would colapse against oil, I'm all for securing vast quantities of this valuable resource. What else are you gonna put in your car? And don't even bother saying hydrogen, it's over-hyped and not anywhere near advanced enough to replace oil.

If thats what the invasion was about why are gas prices going up?It has to do with there being instability in the region in addition to the direct instability in Iraq. In addition to that, oil isn't gasoline. There's plenty of "oil" on the market right now, but not enough refinery capacity to produce the amount of gasoline needed.
Invading Iraq to remove a dictator that hates the US and to increase US prescence in the Middle East is what's imperial about it. It's a logical attempt to further American interests.

Thats were your mistaken my dear friend, as it so happens, i am in charge so i guess this kinda of information im providing for you really kinda blackens your day....lol :gundge:

P.S
Whats so wrong about wanting to declare war on anything biological and non-specified biological, if its origin is from earth or from a foreign planet, so hey what would happen if all the arms industies of the world decided to stop manufacturing weopons of astronomical power, well id guess complete caos would reign on the human race. Then again that isnt a bad idea id guess it would seperate the weak from the strong...like the spartans did..

P.S.

Have a nice day :D

So i suppose your way of dealing with angy frustated nationalities is by negotiations, well weve all seen were this always leeds too. The weak WILL fold and the more defiant are engaged in a proganda war wich inevitably leads to total war.... :mp5:

Which leads to peace. Get it straight dude. Though I believe that the weak will fold too, you had better curb your emotions on this site, or we WILL complain to the mods. That sort of thing does NOT belong in Nationstates.

There are not enough oil refineries (spl?) in our own country. That and oil, like all things, is effected by inflation. The price of bread is going up too...granted no one cares...but still.

Also, if we simply put more oil towards gasoline, then gas prices would go down. But because there are too many people still thinking it's 1960 and are in a dreadful fear of the safest form of power - nuclear power, we have to put alot of it towards heating homes and whatnot.

WTF are you talking about what has he done?

invading Iraq was the only way we could extend oil's lifespan without making the U.N look powerless

because you are killing over 100,000 innocent civilians, not to mention having 11,000 american casualties in Iraq, so that we can have more oil? That's just sick. Would you kill someone for their land if they wouldn't give it to you?

note - 11,000 casualties, not dead. I'm counting wounded

Yea, if I needed it.

not to mention having 11,000 american casualties in Iraq, so that we can have more oil?

We had to sacrifice about 500,000 to keep Europe free, 300,000 to keep South Korea alive and 58,000 to try to keep South Vietnam afloat. So why not sacrifice a few thousand more to secure our oil interests?

Why are people still quoting that damned Lancet study? Are they really that blind and ignorant to the actual meaning of the statistic?

Damn straight. And it's usually the same people who are vehemently against "war for oil," who are also against nuclear power. I guess they want to go back to coal plants, or freeze to death during the winter.
