I know there was a post earlier this week or maybe last week about what annoys you most in the forum. I am asking what your pet peeves are outside of the forum just in the world in general.
please don't say "I don't like blank because he is dumb. I don't want to start any fights or anything, I was just thinking you can learn a lot about people by finding out what thier pet peeves are.
now on to me... I have too many pet peeves to mention here (in general I am pretty easy to annoy)
top 5
1)people claiming the Bible says something it doesn't
2) people who claim they have a constitutional right to something not mentioned in the constitution
3) people who don't use turn signals
4) being lumped together in a group of people I don't like (for example because I am a Christain some people equate me with Jerry Fallwell :yuck:)
5) people who speak in absolutes ie:
my kid says "you never get me candy"
and I say "have I ever bought you candy?"
and she says "of course"
then I say "it is then incorrect for you to say that I never get you candy, when you speak in absolutes you are always wrong"
and then we end up talking about how that sentence is screwed up anyway and it lasts for 3 days.
see if she wasn't speaking in absolutes I wouldn't have to debate the 4 year old for 4 days or I could just buy her the stupid candy bar...... ;)

a)People who butcher known/standard names with retarded spellings.
EG: Taylor = Tailyr
b)People who come to work sick.. I really appreciate their willingness to endanger the health of everyone around them, including mine (and this at a company that gives at least 10 sick days per year).
On the Forums:
1) Spelling (I can't stand it when it's spelled wrong, but I'll only correct it in jest or if it's a RL friend, and I fully understand that not everyone can help it)
2) People that base their arguements on the lack of someone else's spelling ability (spelling ability != intelligence)
3) People that consider their arguements untouchable (superior I can understand, I do that too, but untouchable...)
4) People that are unable to accept facts or other opinions as possibly correct because they are different from their own
5) People that go to long ends to make sure you know that they will and have put you on ignore
6) Quoting posts with large images...
7) Blatant hypocrisy

My dislike of guns is, I freely admit, entirely irrational. Guns can be used responsibly; knives, cars and, well, everything really, can be used to kill. Nonetheless. They piss me off. And I've never met a gun-nut I liked. (I suspect that may be due to my classifying them as 'gun-nuts' - but still.)
I am very much a stout man. I also like bitters. But I find almost all lagers to be just icky. I suspect it's a fizzy thing, as I've never liked champagne, or even cola.

People who call others hyppocrits are probably trying to elevate themselves above everybody else.Exactly. It's also why I say "blatant" hypocrisy. Many people, me included, overlook what it is they're doing. But when someone turns a blind eye to it in a crass manner, it just pisses me off.
Just to let you know, Laerod, that, after careful consideration by not only me but a counsil of my friends here in RL, and the authorisation of my family, I hereby, and forever, place you on ignore.... ;)
Meh, that's almost not funny... :(
I just got told in another thread that I'm going onto someone's ignore list...again...
I have two:
1. When people use me/I incorrectly. ie. Me and Gary went to Mosque the other day. OR The stronger coffee works for Linda and I.
2. Misuse of the word random. ie. That TV show was so random!
Either it's random or it's not. Don't confuse arbatraty and sudden scripts with random things. Did you roll dice? No? Did you use any randomizer to come up with it? No?? THEN IT'S NOT RANDOM!

I always thought that a pet peeve is something that just really annoys you but may not annoy someone else but in case my definition isn't helping any here is the realy one ala Wikipedia
A pet peeve is a minor annoyance that can instill extreme frustration in an individual. Typically each person has several pet peeves that aggravate them more than the average person. Another person may not react as negatively or at all to the same circumstance.
Pet peeves are typically of common occurrences and a person may encounter their pet peeve up to several times a day. An example of this would be someone not using their turn signals while driving. Many people do not use their turn signals, and it does not bother some drivers that people do not. People that have a pet peeve of someone not using their turn signals would become very agitated and upset when they witness the practice. Many pet peeves associated with driving can result in road rage, where the person who has been peeved seeks some sort of retribution for the action.

Ok, here's MY pet peeves....
1. (this one is numero uno with a bang...)
Fucking people who park in handicapped spots when they don't need them!!
I watched my handicapped dad struggle for the last two years of his life...and to see some able-bodied, but lazy jerk park in handicapped, when my dad really NEEDED that spot...used to really burn me up!!
2. People who put NON-CIGARETTE GARBAGE in ashtrays!!
I come along, and set my cigarette down, and start a fucking forest fire!!
3. SUV's!!
Or more specifically, drivers of SUV's who all seem severly discourteous!
4. Non-smokers who act like they are dying if they come within 1/2 mile of where I'm smoking!
Even worse are the assholes who come and sit next to me, on a public bench or something, while I am outside...and ALREADY SMOKING...and then they act like it's killing them, and ask ME to move!! Bull-fuck-shit, I was there first, and I was ALREADY SMOKING when they chose to sit down next to me!! Damned non-smokers DEMAND that we respect them, but they never respect us smokers in turn, and that royally pisses me off!
Is that enough pet peeves for y'all?
My pet peeves:
1. The scraping of metal eating utensils on teeth
2. Anti-pot people that belittle me for toking (ie. "What do you know? You're just a stoner."...grrr, blood boils)
3. Unprovoked violence
4. People who lack compassion
5. Dilliberate ignorence (also called stupidity)
6. Political people who hate their polar opposites just because their views differ
7. Reality TV shows (except for Monster Garage, that's just plain awsome)
8. Killer GMs (those who know what a GM is will know what I'm talkin about)
9. Religious extremists (and I mean ALL religious extremists, are you listening Catholic and Protestant Ireland? What about you Fred Phelps and Jerry Falwell...fuckin' jerks)
LOL, I guess I made your list, then...because I'm a full-tilt radical lefty commie progressive Liberal who absolutely HATES conservatives...and doesn't have much tolerance for moderates, either.
