I play DnD and a bunch of other paper and dice RPGs. I also collect comic books, play Magic the Gathering and spend an insane amount of time playing video games.

But then again, I still admit to these in public.

Yes, and if you're implying that I am one I must challenge you to a duel to avenge my honor. :P Seriously, I collect alot of weird things. Something else I have an affinity for are various watches from different world militaries.

I write a history for a fantasy world I invented with geography based on a house I used to live in. I started doing it when I was about eleven and have since revised it many times over the years. I find it very relaxing to just get lost in something I created, entirely made up and not restrained by any outside rules.

How is this embarassing?

Like what?I paint small plastic soldiers as accurately as I can. I'm currently making custom pieces for a board game that takes place in turn of the century (1900) Europe, called Diplomacy. I use WWI infantry to represent the army pieces, but I haven't found anything to use for navy pieces yet.
I've finished the Austrians, English, French, Germans, and Russians. I've just found Turkish infantry, so that's what I'm going to finish up next, but I'm going to have trouble finding Italian WWI infantry... I haven't found any anywhere... :(

How is it not? You're replacing true social time with internet social time.

Regardless, I'm not embarassed by the fact that I write/RP...it's just not something I wouldn't go around bragging to in front of my football buddies. Same with how I wouldn't brag to my choir that I can bench 300 pounds. They don't care.

I don't know if anyone remembers this fad, but back in the mid-nineties I was really big on collecting POGs. Y'know, those milk-cap-turned-game pieces? I had thousands of those in a matter of a year or two. Then it went out of style... :(

...stuffed toys. BUT! I only do so because I found my one true calling: being the master at the Wal-Mart claw games. Seriously, I spent about $20-$25 over the course of the summer and now have three large boxes full of 'em. But I won't keep them. I think I'll donate them all to needy kids. I just hope they last long enough for them to play with...

Even though I'm now 21, I still collect baseball cards pretty feverently. I've spent probably several thousand dollars on them in my life, and have a collection of at least 10,000+ (most of them pretty crappy, of course). I've got about 6 good sized and 2 extra large binders of good cards, plus a large shoe box of really valuable ones (like my prized 1955 Hank Aaron :D), but it's still rather difficult to explain to people.

Well, mine whould have to be that I have a habit of making beds for no reason, have an obsession with perfectly placed items, and have a problem when my friends don't arrange my discs by color. Yes. I have OCD I suppose.

Also I may have megalomania but I don't bealive it :p.
