or any stories to tell?

Never, never, never, never, never, under any circumstances, attempt to use nuclear weapons on Cthulhu. My old college group did that in a scenario set in London when playing Cthulhu Now. It was 15 years ago, so the details are a bit blurry, but the image of an extremely angry and highly radioactive Cthulhu taking out it's wrath on the ruins on London is unforgetable.

our group does a round robin GM method. everyone runs a story and we as players end up traveling around the world.

in London, we had to deal with a cult... we were chasing the leader and one of our more.... feverant investigator ended up shooting the leader... who promply got up and attacked him...
so he shot him again.
and the Cultist attacked again, and was shot a third time.
so the cultist ran and we persued.
and our trigger happy investigator shot the cultist again.
and he finally went down.
so while standing over the body, our boy reloaded, emptied the clip into the body, reloaded again, and emptied that clip.

it was only after his ring was removed and thrown into the Thames that the cultist stayed dead.

some of our group comes up with some really sick and twisted stories.

one involved Jack the Ripper, where Jack was actually an Investigator and the women he was killing was part of a cult to bring an Old One back to Earth. So the investigators had to finish the job when Jack was caught and killed by the police. That was brutal, all but one died and the sole survivor ended up in the insane Asylum after majorly failing his Sanity Roll.

Ah, Cthulhu! Where the object of the game is to lose your mind as slowly as possible. And where the characters with the highest movement rates are the most likely to survive. :D

I think it was a homemade scenario, but I played a memorable game set on the front lines in France during WWI. The horrors of Shub-niggurath on top of the horrors of war... As I recall, shelling didn't work too well, but mustard gas did.
