I say humanity. Anything else is essentially an excuse in my view. It is ultimately the choice of the individual what path to take. They can choose NOT to bow down to Satan's will, just as they can choose NOT to follow the path of God.
So, the humanist gives her view - it's our fault.

I view Satan as more of an undercurrent to humanity, I word used to reflect certain facets of human actions. For me at least, saying humanity and saying Satan is almost the exact same thing.

god made this imperfect world. it operates just the way he set it up. it will always have bad parts no matter how hard people try to make it better. we do our best with what we are given and hope for the perfection of everlasting life in heaven after our death.

Dammit, they were supposed to eat the apple. Honestly, everyone knows that if you want your kids not to eat the cookies, the last thing you're going to do is point to the cookies, say "don't eat those," and then leave the room.

Free will was the whole point of that story. God could simply have created people with the horrible knowledge of mortality, and shame, and misery, but he didn't. He created us with blissful ignorance, warned us against knowledge, and let us take it anyway because ultimatly, it's a more meaningful existense. Just kind of a sucky one sometimes.

They were never meant to eat the fruit, they only had one law to live by and that was it, God created them perfect with free will because if we ewre mindless robots then satan's attack upon GOD's Sovereignty would have been justified. The tree was there sa a symbol of the Sovereignty of GOD.

The answer I first could come up with is "Yo Mama?" - then again, she can't be held responsible for everything, right?

Okay, sorry for the bad joke, here's what I really think:

Humanity's greed, selfishness and ruthlessness are the big three that make this world suck right now. A decent amount is needed for survival, too much and it becomes survival at the expense of fellow humans... - instead of a life with them.

My vote goes for people who have to SHOUT THE THREAD TITLES LIKE THIS.

Umm, Satan is controlled by God (remember Job?) so any actions commited by him would be done within boundaries set by God. Thus, any problems in the world that would be attributable to Satan are in fact allowed by God to test humanity.

It is the absence of sin that made them perfect. The World would not have had so many eco-problems, as the Earth was meant to be a paradise.

I'm not suggesting a rivalry; I am stating that Satan profaned the name of GOD by telling Eve that GOD had lied, GOD at GENESIS 3:15 pronounced the judgement upon Satan, and is now giving Satan his time to try and convince mankind that they don't need GOD.

On my desk sits a pen, that pen didn't just become, it was created, besides the universe is in a structured orderly manner, not by chance. The 7 days of the bible is usin biblical time so 7 days = 7 biblical days; 1 day = 1000 years, so creation took 42,000 years (GOD rested on 7th day).

While I'm not that up on my bible- I have had to sit through enough religion classes through secondary school. I have never heard the 1 day=1000(which incidently is 7000 years).

I suspect the world was crumby before humanity arived and I suspect it will remain so after we leave. So If any one's to blame, its probably the world.

While I'm not that up on my bible- I have had to sit through enough religion classes through secondary school. I have never heard the 1 day=1000(which incidently is 7000 years).

OK EZEKIEL 4:6 and NUMBERS 14:34, show application of this rule:- a day for a year. (GOD told Adam, that in the day that he ate from the tree, he would surely die; Adam lived to 930 years old- this being within a biblical day). This rule is most famously applied in the prophecy of Daniel of the Seventy Weeks
