Would you take medical advice from a convicted felon?

A book of medical and nutritional advice from a felon with a record of selling bogus medical treatments is now a bestseller. Hopefully everyone dumb enough to buy the book will end up removing themselves from the gene pool by not seeking out real medical treatment.

Oh, how I love this guy.
They play his infomercials at least once a day on one channel here. I sometimes watch them for the comedy factor.
"The FDA would arrest me if I said the title of my new book!"
"Cancer is caused by body PH!"
"I can cure diabetes in a week!"
And all that great stuff.

I'll just point out that this wouldn't be happening if people weren't being screwed over by the drug companies.

Now they are going to die and make a bastard rich.

Are the people and politicians learning anything from this?

Con artists who pray on the weak, the desperate, or the subeducated are quite common throughout history. This particular fellow has been banned from advertising medicine (but not books) on t.v. and the FCC is looking into charges of false advertising. Lets hope he gets kicked off the air-waves soon.

Would I take medical advice from a convicted felon? Probably, if they were a doctor and hadn't had any malpractice suits.

But this guy ... is this the guy that's claiming shark's cartilage will cure cancer?

The idea behind it is that shark's don't get 'cancer', but its not a solution to hunt the mighty sharks in search of false hope.

From a convicted felon who was released and was a real, liscened practicing doctor? Yes I would.

From a guy who's been known to trick people with bogus cures? Hell no.
