Aliens, do they exist

Do you think its kinda stupid to think that we are the only living creatures in the entire universe. Sure, most people would say 'yes I think that aliens exist, but they willl never land here, nor will we ever know the truth'. But thousands of people make claims they have seen alien spaceships, been abducted and so on. I agree with you, most of these people are crazy bored texan farmers. But therre must be some truth in some of them. I believe that they have landed, there are thousands of videos and photos that cant be proved wrong, andhow is it that so many people, when describing the UFO describe so similar to the UFO that was described by another person on the other side of the world. I believe they are testing our enviroment, making studies and getting ready to colonise. Call me crazy. But you cant disprove me.

I dont believe in UFO's and all that crap. I do believe though, that somewhere in the Universe there is life, it could be a tiny little single cell organism, maybe a big assed thing due to its environment, or maybe it could be clever, but unlikely to find us, I think

IF we can't disprove you, why would you make a thread and say I believe this, and "you can't disprove me." You won't get many responses if that's true.

There are other life forms out there, whether they came and was covered up is what I'm skeptical about.

Because they heard the stories and mimicked them, knowing that you would believe their story just because it was actually someone else's story.

Yes, odds are that there's a LOT of other civilizations out there. If this is an infinite universe, full of infinite possibilities, then I would think its impossible for other intelligent life not to exist. Honestly, though, anyone can mimic a story that they've heard over and over. I'd say at least 99% of those stories are pure BS, made up by people who just need some attention.

No, we don't. Erm... I mean 'they'...

First off, I think any life anywhere in the universe is going to be so completely different from us that we may not even recognise it as such. The idea that they will need an Earth-like planet is also ill-conceived -- look at the depths of the ocean, beside volcanic vents, and tell me that all life needs the same conditions.

Secondly, the universe is massive. Our galaxy alone is 100,000 lightyears across, not counting any dark matter we can't see. And there are galaxies millions of lightyears away. The chances of ANYTHING stumbling upon our planet just by accident are so phenomenally low that I doubt there's a high enough character limit to accommodate the decimal point I'd need to use. And until our radio transmissions carry out a little further (it will take them a while), they're not even going to have any idea there's anything alive in our neck of the woods.

Thirdly, if there is life elsewhere, I doubt much of it is intelligent. The universe is an enormously dangerous place, and I'm sure millions upon millions of planets have been wiped out long before their time over the years. We've had quite a few narrow misses ourselves over the years, for instance, that neutron star that exploded not long ago (well, we detected it not long ago anyway, it exploded 50,000 years ago, but it only just reached us).

Fourthly, stop watching so much science fiction. There's no reason to assume we're the least advanced civilisation in the universe. It's very, very likely that we could be the most advanced, given how lucky we are to still be alive, and how fast our technology is advancing. It's perfectly possible that it'll be us making contact with aliens before they make contact with us.

Fifthly, bearing in mind what the first images of Earth they're going to see are, I doubt very much aliens will come here even if they do pick up our transmissions.

Finally, you're right, nobody can prove there aren't any aliens. It's almost impossible to prove a negative such as this, like trying to disprove god. But it's also impossible to prove something like this, so don't rest easy.

I find it highly likely that intelligent extraterrestrial life exists. Considering how large the universe is, it'd be odd if we're the only intelligent life. (When I say intelligent life, I don't mean necessarily as intelligent as us. When I say intelligent, I just mean more than something like pond scum.)

The many claims of seeing aliens and being abducted by them isn't really solid proof. What people saw, if they really saw anything, and were abducted by could've been evolved humans from the future for all we know. There is evidence that ancient people had contact with some strange beings that meet the description of what we today call "greys", but we have no way of knowing exactly what they came in contact with.

I like to keep an open-mind.

I see aliens all the time.
Heck, my grandmother even dates one.
Frankly I think America should just attack Mexico and claim it as the 51st state, and then we take Canada!
