"Bias"

If something displays a liberal or conservative bias, it is biased. If something does not display such a bias, it is unbiased.

If I see someone say "your media is bias" or "CNN is unbias" one more time I may just have an aneurysm.

It's fairly safe to assume that most news sources are biased. This can also be exemplified by the fact that, if I wanted to, I could use statistics to prove that an increase in Pepsi consumption correlates with the spread of Polio--or at least that it did before we beat it.

To use a slightly more pertinent example, I've seen contradictory statistics that tell us that Social Security is working wonders, versus statistcs that tell us it will be broke in 15 years. There's a reason for people claming that suchandsuch a source is biased because in most cases, it probably is.

The above is why I prefer to discuss philosophy to numbers; if only for the simple fact that I could dig up numbers to prove my points and any pinko/commie/nazi/etc could do the exact same thing. None of us would probably ever run out of sources [except possibly for ze Nazi] and the debate would serve no real purpose.

Everything has a slight bias to it. No matter what.

You do realize how incredibly fast some people read these things?

And besides, grammar Nazi as I tend to be, I almost missed it until I got to "unbiased". Then I checked back and noted the 'ed' on the end and, well, things fell into place......

Or maybe you're just bias against the intrinsically political types :p

Ah, so this is why you appear to care little for what would happen if your ideology was applied to the real world.
