Ok, a little issue popped up again for me here.. someone said my nation is representative of how my beliefs are... now I'm going to pass this question to you guys! Are you running your NS country according to your beliefs? Is how you run your NS country an accurate representation of beliefs?

In a way, yes. But it can be quite difficult sometimes as the desicions or options I would choose are sometimes not up for discussion, so I either have to dismiss issues or else back a desicion I don't really agree with.

Honestly, No. I use nationstates, and PArticracy, as a learning tool. Bening naturaly liberal, I run my nation, and party, as conservative as possible. Call it trying to understand the other side.

Yes for the most part.
I do experiment with the choices to see what happens.....
NO!
I always just choose the most oppressive option possible. My puppet nation of Ihrentan more accurately represents my political views, it goes back and forth between Civil Rights Love Fest and Capitalizt:

no I created a strong nation to use in RP (so I always win ;) )

Very rarely is it an accurate representation of my actual thoughts. Most of the decisions I make are representative, but the results on my nationstate are very extreme. In other cases, my real beliefs are not open for discussion and so I either dismiss or choose the more oppressive option. I tried to make it accurate, but it doesnt always work.

This one is fairly close (as the options allow). My previous nations weren't however.

Pretty much, but not entirely.
I make compromises to ensure that the nation doesn't have a 100% tax rate and an imploded economy. But my overall philosophies are reflected in my nation.
I always try to pick the most evil of the options - yet here is how I am described;
"ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator" in spite of this; "political activists are routinely executed, the nation refuses to provide international aid, and the government seizes all major gold finds."
"It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops"
I find this part humerous;
"a massive, economically powerful nation, renowned for its complete absence of social welfare." followed later by this line; "Private enterprise is illegal".
So just where to B0zzites get their money to be so economically powerful? A slave state? No - B0zzy has average civil rights. Hmmm.
I run mine as per my beliefs; however, "Political Freedoms" were accidentally depressed by some mistakes I mad while choosing issues. It should be a Corporate Bordello and not a Capitalist Paradise.

Pah! I have such a hard time deciding on the options they give us, I wish I could just be posed with questions and type out my response instead of having to chose the given ones.
Most of the time none of the responses are anywhere near my decision, But I would like to atleast answer a few... so I do with the one closest to what I would decide... and it usually turns out for the worst because it only covers a small portion of my solution.
Some of my older nations (which have long been deleted) were modelling all the dystopias I had read. Which is two. 1984 and We. This nation doesn't particularly represent my beliefs now (in either national description or roleplaying) but I plan to bring it around.
Nope. My nation is kinda the opposite of what I'm loyal to.

I run my nation according to my libertarian beliefs, but it is my first time running a country and I've only been at it about a month. If I start a different nation I might try making it communist or nazi or something, just for kicks. Part of my country's description says this:
Anti-government web sites are springing up, the nation refuses to provide international aid, there have been reports of people marrying housepets, and abortions are carried out secretly in shady backstreet clinics. Crime is crippling. Spartiala's national animal is the mosquito, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.
I know these are supposed to be bad things, but I'm really not that concerned about them. Anti-government websites are a part of any healthy society, international aid is just an excuse for governments to plunder their people, people ought to be able to marry everything and anything they wish, and if murderers aren't supposed to be carrying out their business in back allies, where should they be doing it? I can't figure out why crime in my country is so bad; I'd gladly raise taxes to help stamp out real crime.

Nope

heck no. My nation is on its way to becoming a phsychotic dictatorship. Almost none of the decisions i make for it are based on what I personally believe. I'm just having fun with it.

Absolutly. Constitutionals is how I would run a nation. Take a look at it (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=constitutionals)
I don't think I'm doing such a bad job.
My nation's political and social models are more extreme, and less practical than my actual outlook.

Anti-government websites are a part of any healthy society
Yeah, totally! If I were the head of government I would make anti-me sites!
How can you ever improve if you don't know what you are doing wrong?
(well, as long as the sites weren't just 'omg j00 sucks lolzzz!11' O.o)

Almost entirely the answers is: No.
Innate bias does blind me to better ways of roleplaying it, I am sure.

I used to, but then I was aiming for roleplay purposes and getting more into the satirical nature of NS. Plus it's hard to do anything with the issues... they have unintended effects, which are of course intended, by the authors, who are usually blatantly biased. It's a shame issues are not voted on, since they effect the whole game. I really think the original 30 issues were the best.

Absolutely NOT! No sane person would live in the country I'm running. Every decision I make is a step toward further chaos.
However, my last nation (Omni-Psychotia, may it rest in peace) was almost exactly tuned to my political beliefs (although Omni-Psychotia was quite a bit more anti-business than I really am).
Ok, a little issue popped up again for me here.. someone said my nation is representative of how my beliefs are... now I'm going to pass this question to you guys! Are you running your NS country according to your beliefs? Is how you run your NS country an accurate representation of beliefs?Yes and for the most part Yes.
Well, my flag has the word 'evil' in it, so I usually pick the most corrupt option. :p And although my nation is the 'armed republic' of Zwange, I only chose that because it had a nice ring to it.
I never run my nation by realistic principals. I run my country by what would be ideal. I believe that the ultimate country would be one of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. One where even thought the people are suppressed they are happy and well taken care of.
So whenever I need to make a decision I think to myself What Would Aldous Do(WWAD)?

My nation is an accurate representation of my beliefs. It's exactly how I want my government to run the country I live in. A corporate police state! And I never dismiss a issue.

A New York Times Democracy is rubbish. But I haven't a choice because the issues are always so extreme.

Nope i answerd a question wrong cus i was sleepy and thot one word is another and now my crime rate is deplorable -.- but other then that they didnt have the right choices i mean they confine you to the same illogical practices that have been done allready i mean no government works so they should have new choices that could make one that Does in fact work!
A New York Times Democracy is rubbish. But I haven't a choice because the issues are always so extreme. :rolleyes:Then do what most politicians and governments do with extreme issues. Ignore them and let the population work things out.
