Hello!

I bet that many of you people (especially you young people) have a dream to live somewhere else then your current location; so where would you like to live???

I personally would like to live in the Caribbeans (Barbados for instance).

I don't know, but all my teachers used to say that I live in LaLaLand. So I guess I'd like to live in LaLaLand.

I'm pretty happy in the US, although I'd like to live in San Jose or Seattle (Starbucks HQ). I like high-tech cities, so they're natural choices.

Yea, I agree, Australia is my second choice as well.

Speaking of high-tech cities. Tokyo has public toillettes looking like space ship cockpits.

This is something I have been thinking more and more about recently. I live in a hellhole at the moment and if I'm going to move somewhere it had better be somewhere nice.

I still haven't really nailed down anything specific though, which really is unfortunate. :(

In the U.S.: Maine, near the coast.

Other: Prince Edward Island, Canada.

I've been to both places already, so I know that I'd like living there.

Other nice places I've been and wouldn't mind living there: Annapolis, Maryland. Salem, Massachusetts. Newport, Rhode Island. Stratford, Ontario, Canda. Actually, even though I've only mentioned small towns thus far, New York City is pretty cool, too. :)

I don´t know why, but I´ve always pictured myself living in Bonn, but I don´t really like it. I think I´ll just stay in Sweden, not sure where though... maybe göteborg...

I've been there, although it was way back in 1973. Nice place. :)

London... Something about that city (and the UK in general) really captivates me.

London is good, although I think I'd prefer Scotland or Wales; you know, greenery, countryside, beer at the pub with locals, just like in the movies.

I'd love to live the simple life on a ranch in a red state like Nebraska or Idaho or Ohio. You know, a few cattle, a corn field, a pick up truck, my wife and kids. it'd be lovely to break free from city life... in the UK. Ye, just get out from Blair and his Democratic Socialist government and move to a nice conservative one. But no hope of that just yet.

Honestly, I'm pretty happy with where I live. It took some hard work to buy a house here-my wife is happy, my kids are flourishing. We are in one of the safest towns in America on the New Jersey shore, we love the ocean, life is good.
I would continue traveling the country/world if I got some wind fall load of cash, but this would probably remain my home.

Ditto, I like it here in America and I would like to stay here (though I am not entirely opposed to leaving it.) I'm extremely interested in high-tech cities; I keep wondering what a city built entirely from the ground up would look like with today’s cutting edge technology. Most cities today are a mish-mash of anachronistic remnants and low-budget new construction. Rather ugly.

Tokyo has public toilets that thank you for depositing your bodily waste

I'd like to visit japan, i've got more than the average gaijin's social knowledge and a few phrases that are useful. mainly you need to know how to say "I am not a gaijin* but my japanese is very limited, i humbly ask that we may converse in [language x]"

*Gaijin is a word for foreigner that unofficially means stupid american tourist with no honour or manners.

Tallinn.

Ok, there's a bit of a crime problem.. but the town centre is beautiful. Lots of good cafeterias, good bars, good clubs, cheap cost of living, and only a short flight from home... and I lived their before briefly...

Or perhaps Barcelona... a city with everything...

or perhaps Italy, crazy people, disorganised burocracy, but then they devote their time to enjoying life... good food, good wine, good beaches, nice cars, insane drivers... hmmm...

I just can't decide...

One of the deserty states, or Milwaukee, just to be close to the Miller brewery, in the US, or Australia.

The skyline would be a lot like Shanghai's, although adjusted for cultural differences. Almost all of its skyscrapers have been built in the past few years, so it's a good reference.

I am pretty happy in the US. I don't like the state I live in though. I lived in Arizona once it was pretty nice, I wouldn't live so close to the border of Mexico next time though. Nevada would also be nice.
If I had to go to another country (and I do mean had to because you would have to drag me kickng and screaming from the US) I would go to Ireland because I have family there that are really cool when I can understand what they are talking about lol.

I live just south of Seattle, and it's okay. Taxes are fairly high in Washington but the weather isn't too bad, and there isn't very many animals that can kill you here. For anyone wanting to move to the actual city of Seattle, please remember that Forbes rated it as the #1 most overpriced city in the country. My younger sister pays the same amount in rent for a one bedroom apartment as I pay for the mortgage on my house. The median price for a house in Seattle is $300,000.

I think the only place my husband would rather be is Sweden. He had to go there on business once and loved it.

I've always liked the idea of moving to Australia or New Zealand. Germany was on my list too but I dont think my knowledge of the language will ever be as good as I would need.

Living where I am now wears me down gradually so I hope that eventually I will move
