Well guys, this is it. I am off to my mobilization site (Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Yay.) to go to Iraq AGAIN. For those of you unfamiliar with moi, I went back in '03 (feels funny to say it like that, my grandpa does about 1903) when I was in the Marines. Now, it is with my National Guard unit. And my platoon was just augmented.... with a bunch of cooks and mechanics! Whoop the fuck ee.
Anyhow, I will try to log on and keep my pitiful little country going while I am gone, and check in to see how badly the conservatives on this forum wave the flag from the safety of thier armchairs, while this 'American-hating liberal' goes off to fight the fight they so proudly endorse.
Eutrusca, Keruvalia, Whispering Legs, it has been fun. Take care you guys!

Fort Sill. Isn't that where they give the planet enemas? :D

Yes, Ft. Sill is where anal enema's that could drain the world's oceans occur. Actually, I have never been down there, but since it is a basic training post as well, I am really thinking it will be totally gay. TOTALLY GAY. Especially since most of the guys in my unit are old, fat, and don't know the difference between the forward assist and the charging handle on thier rifles.
Corneliu, I forgot to list you in my list of people whom it has been great debating with.
I will log in and check up with you guys as often as possible!

If you're lucky, next you'll be sent on 'embassy guarding duty' in some nice country :)

There are about 30 marines living in Wellington at the moment 'guarding' the embassy. I don't imagine that involves much, except keeping the tennis club next door at bay :p

Those AK47 toating, bomb building, flag burning New Zealand tennis clubs get prety rowdy sometimes, especially during doubles week...

They've disliked the tennis club since they wanted to build a huge wall (as part of their security tightening after 11 sept 01) along the boundry between the two sites and the club wouldn't let them for some reason, which I can't remember the exact details of. I remember thinking the whole thing was funny at the time :)

If you get chased after don't be afraid to pull a disguise and dress up like one of the covered Women. If you're driving. Keep looking at both sides of the Road at all costs. Even if you have to go 5 mph, don't fall for those Roadside bombs.
