I one time tried to set a bios password, which, at POST requires the user to type in a password to go through the boot sequence. However, I typed it in wrong, so I had to open up my case and remove the bios jumper. -.-; not fun... especially on a proprietary motherboard...

I work in Tech Support.... you want sad stories...

I once had to show a user where the Spacebar was on the keyboard.

"The computer is saying 'Password Expired, New Password Missing' what do I do now?"

Me: Your password needs to be 5 - 8 characters long.
L User: can I use 9 characters?
Me: No, it has to be between 5 - 8 characters.
L User: Oh... how about 4 characters, can I use 4 characters?
Me: no, it has to be either 5, 6, 7, or 8 characters long.
L User: Ok, (sounds of keyboard typing) it's not taking the new password.
Me: How many characters did you type in?
L User: ... 10

They ought to have a refresher lesson in basic math. A nice semester in grade 1 might help them...

For the time being you can use the character map or you can hold Alt and type 0160 in the number pad, that is the non breaking space combination.

ALT+0160
