I say 21 simply because researchers say that it's around this age in which people reach their full maturity, both physically and mentally.
It should either stay as it is or be raised, kids shouldn't be able to get themselves into dept. Or rather, kids shouldn't be able to get their parents into dept.

I know that's what it is in Germany, but I don't think its the same everywhere.
21, since most people don't reach complete mental maturity until then. It's sad, I know. I wish someone would invent an instantaneous maturity detector, so the few who are mature before the age of 21 aren't held back by all the idiots who would piss away their money without thinking.
