Note to mods: I realize this may look like a copycat thread, but that's only because I'm mentioning a copycat challenge to the one reporting on Dr. Kent Hovind's evolution challenge. If you decide it violates the rules of copycat threads and decide to close it, I understand, but I hope you'll let it stand.

Now to the thrust of the thread. In response to the abovementioned challenge from Dr. Kent Hovind, the folks at BoingBoing, in conjunction with some other bloggers, have offered ID/Creationist proponents the following counter-challenge (http://www.boingboing.net/2005/08/19/boing_boings_250000_.html).
I've discussed the matter with my blog colleagues, and we would like to hereby issue a challenge to Kent Hovind and his supporters.

We are willing to pay any individual *$250,000 if they can produce empirical evidence which proves that Jesus is not the son of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
Pastafarianism has been making serious inroads into the world of religion lately--his noodly appendage is indeed powerful and wise, and it touches us all. Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?

What nonsense. Spend more time fighting sin, not evolutionists who don't know what they're talking about.

What's wrong with sin? It's fun. According to the Puritans, that was bad.

Weren't the bones of Jesus' brother found about a year ago? Couldn't DNA analysis prove that there was no wheat DNA present in Jesus' family? If this works I want a nice cut of the cash.

You know, Jesus did exist. He was a guy concieved by Mary out of marriage, since she got with Joseph after he was born. He was a nice guy. A pacifist who liked all people and would be appauled by how his name is slandered these days. The Bible is a history book tainted with religion, not that stuff in it didn't happen, it's just the God bs that makes it a bit discredible. Flying Spaghetti Monsterism makes just as much sense as Christianity, but more fun. Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?

Please have a good read of this site's archives and then post a 'fact' about Biblical creation that 'evolutionists' have not debunked.
