Being an avid reader of fanfiction, yes, I have read a few slash fics. And I must say I enjoy them from time to time. As long as they are well-written though...

I enjoy my fanfiction from time to time, but I'm one who enjoys fanfiction that stays within the realms of the original writing's canon (aka if it don't look like, smell like, feel like, sound like, or taste like the original). Most slash pairings involve characters stepping out of their canonical roles in order to have such a relationship (i.e. Aragorn/Legolas, Harry/whatever-the-villian's-name-is, etc). This, to me, is bad. Even non-canon hetero pairings are bad (Arwen/Legolas, Arwen/Faramir, Hermoine/whatever-the-villian's-name-is).
If it's plausible, I'll give it a shot. However, I usually just stay away from slash period.

fan fic generally sucks.
Why? the best part of writing, imho, is not having some huge building over your head. If I did write fanfic, I would throughly trash the place.

Meh... I've seen worse.
Slash generally burns my eyes, just because the pairings are usually so...stupid...
I mean at least have it make SENSE!

That's nothing. I saw a WWII fic where the entire war was solved over Dance Dance Revolution. Too bad I don't remember the link, as I'd know you might get a (disturbing) kick out of it... :(

LOL - and here I thought you meant slasher fiction; I was gonna say I read plenty of gore and horror novels...but two men getting it on really doesn't interest me at all...:p
