Willy Wonka because he's a solid figure and quite frankly, the original was a psycho.

On the other hand I can kick a corporeal entity in the nuts...

Tricky.

Neither. I'm not afraid of Nazi ghosts, and Depp's Willy Wonka would have been cool to hang out with. It would be a little like tripping, but without having to use drugs.

None of you find Jonny Depp as Willy Wonka even the slightest bit creepy? He creeped the crap out of me in that role.

I found him funny and entertaining. But I also find Charlie Manson funny and entertaining too, so you might not want to go by my opinion.

Creepy can be hot, and in this case it is, in a molesting sort of way.

A quick preface to explain my answer:
My parents thought that it would be a good idea for me to see the first one when I was six, and that movie scared the living hell out of me. Think about it, all over the place these kids are dying, and no one really seems to care. In fact, the Oompa-Loompa things are dancing and gleefully singing about it. As a result, the story comes off as a sort of Dante's Inferno for children.
Anyway, ANY Willy Wonka varient would scare the crap out of me, as a sort of residual childhood fear would kick in that late at night.
Ghost Hitler, on the other hand, might be kind of cool. After all, he wasn't such a bad guy, just had very bad handwriting and syntax. All he wanted to do was to "Invite Poland", and then, when he wrote "Exterminate the Jews" he meant to exterminate their houses, as he was afraid of a growing cockroach problem.

Yeah. I find nothing more hot than being fiddled with in my sleep by a guy who hangs around exclusively with kids and creatures that look like kids.

EDIT:Okay, malformed kids.

Well, 'ghost Hitler' would mean that the DEAD can come back and screw around with us, if the inclination takes them... and that HAS to be a little unnerving...

Johnny Depp as Wonka, on the other hand, is 'hawt'. :fluffle:

Johnny Depp is hot no matter who he's dressed up as, but Hitler was kind of weird looking. So Hitler is probably more scary.

Johnny Depp. Really, what's the ghost of Hitler going to do? He wasn't the sort to go around beating up people or anything. And without his nazi thugs he's just an aging man with an ugly mustache, I could easily take him. Especially if he's a ghost.

but Willy Wonka with a grin is just disturbing.

I cannot believe no one has mentioned the creepy similarities between these two choices! Both were abused as children(thats why willy wonka is CrAzY and believes that he is still a child, his childhood was stolen from him) both are rasist. The Oompa-Loompas represent blacks, there is much controversy over the original author, and that is also why in the new one they are all white, it was to try and avoid that problem the with NAACP, ACLU, and what not. And oh yeah, they're both CRAZY! however to answer the question i would be afraid of the person that came up with this poll.

I saw the original movie. I never thought it was racist. Of course I never read the book so maybe it was the author's writing style.

I think having Michael Jackson standing over my bed would be the scariest. Now that would scare the shit out of me.

Johnny Depp, simply based on the hiearchy of threats to humanity:

1. Zombies
2. Nazis
3. Aliens
4. Spiders
5. Robots

Johnny Depp was dead in Pirates of the Carribean, AND WAS STILL ALIVE! In virtually every single one of his roles, he plays the most eccentric character in the movie, meaning he is so odd that he can't be a human being, and, in Willy Wonka, he endorsed cannibalism. (You didn't see any oompa loompas working, did you? Nope, they are just there as a food source for Willy Wonka, who obviously doesn't buy food at the store and has nothing but chocolate, which does not account for a good diet)
And, in his new movie, the CorpseBride, he marries...a dead chick.

He's a f*ing Zombie.
Worse yet, women are attracted to him. This obviously means that Depp represents a new era in zombie power. He is attempting to seduce women so that he can impregnate them and make more zombie-time-bombs in preparation for the real invasion.
If Depp appears over my bed, it means I'm hot enough to attract ALMOST as many women as him, thus meaning I am threat to his power...or that he is trying to take out the woman I love most. Which would piss me off.

So, if Johnny Depp appeared over my bed, I'd probably shit my pants.

HAHAHA, that is funny. I'd also agree to that being very creepy.

In Roald Dahl: A Biography Jeremy Treglown notes that later in Dahl's life editors had to continually ask him to modify his stories for an increasingly politically-correct readership. The Fleshlumpeater in The BFG, for example, was originally even more of a black caricature than he is in the current version. The plot of Fantastic Mr. Fox was changed almost completely from Dahl's original draft, which glorified thievery (even more than the one we have now). And women have never fared well in Dahl's stories, from the horrid Aunts Sponge and Spiker from James and the Giant Peach to the freakish and evil Witches to the mannish and violent Trunchbull from Matilda.

So it is completely possible that he was a racist. And yes i didn't compare him to hitler, I said there were some startling similarities.

DEFINATELY Wonka. If i found Hitler by my bed with a scowl on his face, I'd just put a scowl on and have a long stareing contest with the fool..... People with big ass grins on their face make me flat out nervous.... Especally if they're standing by my bed in a fruity colored suit.

Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka, Hitler wasn't too strong in life, I could take him, even if he became a ghost, but if I try to defend myselves against him, then millions of fans would attack me, plus he looks scary.

Now what if you mixed Willy Wonka, with Adolf Hitler, Mussolini, Ho Chi Minh, Stalin, George Washington, Lincoln, and a random person. That would be funny and scary.

Nobody really. People who stand over me - without warning me first - while I'm sleeping tend to end up hurt. I don't wake up friendly in that situation.

Hitler wouldn't bother me because he's Dead... though I wouldn't mind the chat just to get a little insight into his post "Mein Kampf" headspace.

Depp is only "movie creepy". (I would worry more about Edward Sicssorshands than Willy Wonka.) And 21 Jump Street aside, I think that my "Home Invasion Wakeup" would likely leave him gasping for air and staring down the barrel of my carry gun. (That is, of course, a better fate than when I kept a gladius under the pillow...stab first, ask questions later...) :D

Willy Wonka would be far more unnerving, at least Hitler you know could be killed, and his ghost could probably be exorcised by a priest or rabbi or two. I'm not sure about Willy Wonka on either of those counts...
