GCSE is "General Certificate of Secondary Education", exams you do in the UK when you're 16.

Do you have your exam timetable anywhere? It usually says on that.

Not Scottish?
Nope, they do different ones. Standards, which are the equivelent of GCSEs but taken a year earlier, and Highers which are the equivelent of A levels, but, again, taken a year earlier.

Yep. They're pretty much the same; both are worth very little, and more of a stepping stone onto A-levels (Highers/Advanced Highers here in Scotland).

Next Thursday, according to the news. The NI board results are out on Tuesday (23 August) but all others are out on Thursday (25 August). A level results were out today, in case anybody's forgotten to pick their's up :D
