This is my message to Mr Downer, the Australian Foreign Minister. Grow some God damned balls and demand America release David Hicks! Every other country has demanded the release of their citizens held at Git'mo.

It's about time Downer did his job and ensured that David Hicks by tried and convicted fairly. There is no doubt in my mind that David Hicks and those who support terrorist factions should face life behind bars, but we must take a stand for fariness and justice.

We would never stand for it at home and we cannot stand for it, for our citizens, overseas!

You mean like he did for Schapelle Corby, when even though given all of the inconsistencies and the mysteriously vanishing evidence that in any civilized country would have resulted in a mistrial and probable dismissal of the case was instead allowed to be shut away in prison for 20 years? Luckily she has persistent lawyers and they're pushing to get the case reopened.
