What are some of the things that people do in threads that really piss you off?
Here's my top 4
1)Correcting grammar
2)Bringing up Bush in a thread that isn't about him, whether its good or bad.
3)Internet Speak ex: OMG, WoOT, pwned, teh.
4)Proclaiming someones thread "stupid" because it isn't worded how you'd like.
So what are everyone else's pet peeves?

Other than insulting behavior, I can't stand it when I ask someone a question and they keep trying to worm their way out of answering it.

Radicals. I dislike radicals. I also dislike the way I think when I'm sleepy, like now, because I tend to become either

a) dumb

or

b) radical too.

Hmm, I wonder how long it's going to take before someone calls you a stupid Bush lover who, OMG, forgot a colon after your "Heres my top 4" and an apostrophy in "Here's"? :D

Pet peve, flaming, just some of the flames that I have seen here.

I've found signatures that take up more space than the post rather iritating, but that can luckily be remedied by turning them off, so I don't have a problem with it anymore.

Recently it's been 'spiked balls.' It comes in a few varieties:

The early spike-following a question with an anticipated answer ("Didn't think so," etc.) or presumption that the poster has summed up the debate (i.e. "Nuff said." Whenever that's used it's almost a cinch that there is more to say)

The Batam League Soccer (football) response-
This is a little more complicated. It's after the fact posters claim to others that they 'owned' another in a debate or that they've shut other debators down. A variation is the claim to reputation "Most posters know me as a hard as balls blah blah blah" etc. The reason it has that name is if you aska Batam (probably spelled wrong-under 6 years old) league team who won today both teams are likely to say that they did regardless of the score. That's how I feel about those who think they 'owned' in a debate.

So by 'few' I ment 'two.' Or I'm just too lazy to go on.

2)Bringing up Bush in a thread that isn't about him, whether its good or bad.

Or just claiming how everyone's always bashing USA when no one has even mentioned the country.

People who start threads and make a strong argument but never bother to post to it again (especially after all starter's points have been shot down)

Oh, and the -source, please- thing. Of course you have to prove your point but sometimes people want sources about things that are basic knowledge. And even though internet is huge, it does not include everything. Some people actually still read newspapers etc.

e.g.
me: btw Sweden is in EU
annoying NSr: source, please!

I've thought of a new one, and I believe it's my number 1. I hate it when people post in a thread that the topic and/or poll is stupid, and refuse to answer or chime in, then continue to bitch about the thread every 3rd post.

That or 'banner'. I haven't been around it in a while. Maybe I should have looked it up before using it, but the only reason I'm up is an upset stomach, so...

I especially hate people who claim victory because the person they are arguing with hasn't posted in x minutes or throws their hands up in disgust. As if saying "uh uh" until the person gives up is a valid debate tactic, or people having things to do in thier real life means you've won.

In general, though-just the idea and balls to claim to have won a debate-annoying.

Ooooooh-smiley abuse. Using the green smiley to hide the fact that you just insulted a poster (I hope you die. :D) The little headbanger is pretty annoying because (related to my posts so far) is usually used as an indication that no one is recognizing that the user feels that they have already 'won' the debate.

All gun smilies irratate me.

The eyeroll smiley is the worst of all. Don't, just don't.

People who respond to complaints by doing all the things the poster just complained about aren't neccisarily clever either. Especially if they don't see this when they quote....

My pet peeve is the thin skin of this forum’s users.
It seems like every other page of almost every thread includes
“UR FLAMERING!111!1!!!!111 IM TELLING TEH MODS ON U!!!!11!1!1”

I don’t know what the deal is, but 95% of what people call flaming, I call an opinion that should be respected as such and actually refuted and/or disagreed with, not declared a flame.

Well grammer doesn't bother me that much. I'm at work at the moment so I don't have time to be paying too much attention to my grammer. Plus 'teh' is not internet speak, its just a typing error.

Over zealous patriotism really annoys me-only when people don't have informed opinions. grr
NSers ranting about why every one on NS is Anti-American, when most aren't.

3. leet

n: a language originally created by computer hackers to communicate through their coding while others could not do such a thing. It misspells words that have been commonly misspelled in English, such as "Teh". It also spells most words phonetically, making it as easy to type in leet as possible. When a word ends in "X" or "cks", it is suitable to put an "orz" at the end. DO NOT put this on the end of every word. leet is also a very flexable language, so you can make your own words and modify the English language (teh smecks is a common substitute for sexy) in any way you see fit as long as it's close.

I haven't been around too long but what has been annoying me so far is people who attack my lifestyle and then when I say anything at all about thiers they pull the "you are a bigot" card.
Why are they allowed to think I am an idiot and I am not allowed to disagree with them even though I really try to make noninflamitory statements.
Life just isn't fair is it?

This reminds me:
Presumed reaction.

They take an event, then prepose an alternative to the event and say "you know that they'd all be" whatever. I may not be explaining this one too well...but it irratates me. It's making people defend a hypothetical reaction to something-total bs.

I really hate it when people use white text to excess. Here's a plan, genius, why don't you just not say it if you don't want everyone to read it?

Additionally, people who abandon all use of punctuation give me headaches. Periods represent an extended pause, and commas represent an abbreviated pause, and this means that when you skip both, all I have is a really long string of text going through my mind without any sort of rhythym or structure to it and it burns a little peice of my soul out with it as it goes as a result I am unable to take a break in reading it and must suffer as if a long winded person were yelling in my ear. Sorry for doing that, but I needed to provide an example.

I also hate when people apologize for something they've did in the same post as when they did it. If you didn't mean to offend by calling me "a dog-eating son of a bitch", why did yyou call me one? Is the use of the delete key something that they don't teach you until second grade?

I also hate people who are selfcontradictory, as it eliminates any chance that you might ever take them seriously.

Finally, I hate it when people say that Robin Hood stole from the rich (he stole from the government) and gave to the poor (he gave to the people suffering from oppresive taxation, which made them poor).

1. Anti-Christianism. Especially.
2. Speling and grammer mistakes.
3. People who are too stupid to realize that #2 was intentional (or that it is, in fact, incorrect).
4. People who have their underoos on a bit too tight/ thin-skinned.
5. Anti-Conservatism.

In respective order.
