Anyone here from Richmond County Georgia just heard local 2300 News.. If they have a White Mayor here then by Gentlemans Agreement they will have a Black Assistant Mayor in office.. or other way around... Ain't that against some law.... either State or Federal...
No wonder this world is messed up..
Also a side note.. for those who argue over words used in a UN proposal in NS game.. It happens in real world too... Currently those suppose to be creating the new Iraq Constitution have a word dispute... over 'A' or 'The'.. In a line like this: Religion shall be.. 'A' part of government that.. 'THE' part of government that.. then they go with it.. Not sure full details but this should be fun to see how they settle it and which word they use...

No it's not against any law, why do you think it would be?
Most assistant mayoral positions are appointed, so why do you think a law would be broken?

You said yourself it's a "gentleman's agreement". It's not required by law, it's purely an informal arrangement. So how, exactly, would you go about outlawing it?

It's noted that you are not from my area... They actualy have in past couple days voted on not honoring it.. That's Peach State Politics, as they old Southern Gentlemen in Public and Crooks in Bed.. This agreement has been in place now over ten years... A While Mayor just moved up and left his Black Assistant to temp his office until new on can be elected. Old one had think two years left.. office. something like that. What got me was local news covered it and they acted on it.... now news on them about wasting time voting on it.. if it was not law then they didn't make it then how can they unmake it... Crazy Government..

Thanks Zeb, did you ever hear exactly what all they talked about and voted on seems 12 has not mentioned it since there first item on this... I have not seen news today so will see what might come up on that. If you get more before I do go ahead and put here I'll be checking..Vile
