True, I've gotten as low as 127, and as high as well.... Not in a million years.

Higher than that of my microwave, yet not nearly that of my 14month old (who seems able to get through even the toughest mechanical locks I throw at her. In my constant battle to twart her quest to escape my house and keep her out of my office.)

Anyone ever gone to a Scientology den/temple/lair/whatchyamacallum and taken their version of the IQ test? I did this for a lark once and after informing I'd scored 136 (140 is where their results top out according to some) the Recruiter/Brainwasher guy didn't want to let me go without a very strong and impassioned sales pitch. Apparently they use the tests to determine the worthiness of potential victims/beleivers. Disturbing.

I was manic at the time, so any suggestion that stuff from a book some dead guy wrote would help me be a better person struck me as preposterous. Well, when I'm manic, I think I can't be improved upon.....

I honestly can't remember (haha) I know took the test when I was 7, I know it is above 142. the only mathematical possibilities (using the IQ equation mental age/actual age) are 157, 171, or something above 171 which I highly doubt, Just for safe measures I think I'll go with the 157.

I got a I 140 on this thing awhile ago to. For one they did on TV, I missed 3 questions but still got a 127 for it. MENSA is 130 or above.

Though since my true skills come from war and strategies they might wonder why I seem weird. Most NS people are 'weird' we love to play with nations and kill each other slowly in posts that are drawn out over days and weeks. Yet we are so critical over others and sometimes our own forces we simply don't know how to function and admit to it. So unless you are capable of using formulas that you may or may not have been learned or been able to visualize what happens it is not a true test. Given you have unlimited time to also complete this.

Oh ya...their pattern thing was bogus, I saw at least 10 similar traits on one of those and noticed that actually looking at it defeats the purpose because you simply can't see what they are refering to or wanting you to notice when the choices are still closely related or the shapes or anything for that matter to be either wrong or right and show what kind of IQ you have.

This test game me a 131, another test on the Discovery Channel website I did a while back gave me a 144 and once I did for a psychatrist years back gave me a 176.

Of course, they're all higher then what Colodia got, so I'm happy.

Possible explanations:

1) Internet IQ tests are bullshit, usually trying to SELL "detailed results"... and they figure people are most interested in reading results that tell them how smart they are.

2) Most people already have a sense of how they compare intellectually with others. The sort of people who would take a test to prove it are the sort of people who already expect to do well.

I was in the top 3% percentile in the 2nd grade....Though they wanted to take me for some wierd tests at the high school across town, we didn't go in the end cause they messed up and sent the date for it and it arrived AFTER the date scheduled. Not that we really cared. It was pathetic.

I'll state that 40 questions is hardly sufficient to give any but the most vague approximation of a scientifiic result, regardless of my other serious reservations concerning the validity of the results produced by this website. If it makes you feel better go with the 145 IQ rating, although the actual quantity it was measuring, even if administereed properly, remains a matter for debate.
