There is a political spectrum poll and people are complaining about not being able to fit. If you do not know what the political compass is click here. (http://www.politicalcompass.org).

I should have done so, seen as I gave the link, oh well. Doesn't bother me, though you could have presented it better.

Just to clarify:on the graph conservative is 1st quadrant, totalitarian is 2nd, socialist is 3rd, and libertarian is 4th - right?

Far off.

The X axis (I.e. from left to right) is economic.

The Y axis (I.e. Top to bottom) is social.

The more towards the top you are, the more socially conservative you are (Edging up towards Authoritarian (Totalitarianism/Dictatorships) ), the more towards the bottom, the more socailly liberal you are (Down at the very bottom, depending on your economic outlook, you can be a libertarian or an anarchist).

The more to the left you are, the more economically conservative you are (I.e. Communist).
The more to the right you are, the more economically liberal you are (I.e. capitalist)

Just read up on what it says.

So we're just talking about one of our axes? Isn't that oversimplifying your results?

No, this is which quandrant you end up in, although that still simplifies it quite a lot. I ended up around the same place as the Dalai Lama, which I'd call moderately socialist by this poll's labelling.

No, you've completely mis-understood, or did you fail mathematics?

You have four grids, divided by a cross. The line going from left to right being X - Economic, the line going from top to bottom being Y - Social.

Now, depending on your score e.g. -4.2, 3.4
You have to work it out yourself.

-4.2 landing you just over four squares below the middle line
3.4 landing you right of the middle line.

Both landing you in the bottom right area, which is Social liberal, and economic liberal. You're still in the range of democratic (Not anarchist, which is what an extreme minus number on the Y axis is), but an extreme liberal. 3.4 being not as economically liberal as most conservatives (Or other parties), but still not an economic conservative.

Economic Left/Right: -3.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.95

Been wondering how to figure that out. :D

the choices don't match the results very well. A few months back there was another survey which yelded results much closet to the choices you gave everyone. I'm not sure which option fits my results on this test.

Economic Left/Right: -5.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.85

So I'm a Extreme Libertarian. But am I a moderate Extreme Socialist or an extrem Moderate Socialist?
And by being able only to choose one option, should I vote my economical or my social result?

Yes, I see no reason for this stupid poll.

A simple topic giving the link and asking people to post their results would have sufficed.

This pole may be more amenable to a survey. (sorry if the word is mispelled)
