What do you think of the Danish monarchy?

I'm not very fond of it myself. Almost any other Dane love the royal family.
It could be interesting to hear what other nationalities think of them.

I'm not really sure what to think of the Danish monarchy. To be honest, I'm not sure what role it plays in Danish society. I find in the cases of constitutional monarchies such as Denmark or the United Kingdom (although the U.K. has an unwritten constitution) that monarchies are rather superfluous. Then again, that could just be my prejudice as an American.

As far as the Danish government itself is concerned, I like the country very much. Whether that is a function of the royal family or the prime minister, I'm not in a position to say.

Well the danish monarchy is purely cosmetic. They act as a sort of ambassadors. If they refuse doing their duties as monarchs (such as signing new laws), they are forced to abdicate.

They have got now some Australian blood in the family. Should be ok in the future.
