Actually, he's correct. A 'hermaphrodite' is merely describing the 'plumbing'. Gender is something entirely different.

I think the phrase "sausage festival" could apply here... imagine, rollplaying and a lack of women.. Who would have ever put those two together...

I only roleplay with women. For example, this would be typical:

And hermaphrodite is more of a myth than anything...a human with completely functioning female and male genitalia. If you wanted a poll on gender, you really only need to include male and female. If you want a poll on sex, you need a wider range of options. Male, female, intersexed...and then the range of sexes that are encompassed by ambiguous genes.
