who is your favourit spy for these choices:

-Sam Fisher(splinter cell)
-Solid Snake(metal gear solid)
-james bond(007 series)

*********************************************************

i Have to go with Sam,the fact that he is like 40-50 years old,and can do so many cool moves.....you have to give him credit.

solid snake is cool too because just like Sam,he takes his job seriously and they both truly believe in what they are doin.they are also interesting caracters to know about, they have captivating stories to themselfs. i dont pick snake because he is geneticly altered making him strong and fast...sam is all natural.

Bond i dont like too much...because his character has no substance.....he gets into a firefight kills all the enemy and then bans the chick...james is a cool caracter in his own right....but is stale when compared solid's and sam's caracters and their stories.

James Bond, without question. Video game personalities are not compelling. Anyone who says they are needs to quit playing video games and start reading books and watching movies (have you read and of the James Bond books?).

Bond in the movies isn't a good spy.. a good spy doesn't get caught.. lol.

He's the only spy in the world that goes up against the kind of villians he does. That's why M16 has him around. They know what they're up against.

Well, all double-oh agents go up against those kind of guys, but they tend to get killed. It's not that they aren't good spys. James Bond is just as lucky as he is calculating.

i have read both splinter cell and james books....but you say: Bond in the movies isn't a good spy.. a good spy doesn't get caught.. lol.

i have to disagree with that.......when they are captured it shows realism....they are humans and they made mistakes....james escapes all the time,so he is considered to be the better spy (yes in that case) but him never making a mistake is poor from a literary stand point.it takes the human esance away for the caracter.

and video game characters are just as compeling as book ones...it depense on the writer no matter what the medium.(movie, book,TV etc............)

Yeah Mad's still around, however it's no longer witty and ironic, it just attacks whoever it can with incredibly childish logic. Kinda like NationStates :p

First, I forgot that Splinter Cell is also a book. I've never read it so I can't comment on how good of a character Sam Fisher is.

and video game characters are just as compeling as book ones...it depense on the writer no matter what the medium.(movie, book,TV etc............)

In theory that's true, I suppose. I've never seen a video game that, in game, has as good of a story as a decent movie. I say in game because RPGs used to come with huge books giving a very thorough back story to the game. Maybe I'm just biased.

Yeah Mad's still around, however it's no longer witty and ironic, it just attacks whoever it can with incredibly childish logic. Kinda like NationStates :p

It has its moments. Sometimes.

Forget the films and go and dig out the original Fleming books. Your opinion might be changed somewhat if you have only experienced the cinematic Bond and never the one on the printed page.

Hint: don't start with The Spy Who Loved Me - it is entertaining enough, but not a good introduction to the series.

Ah, to Hell with James Bond, only Dean Martin as Matt Helm had the right stuff to drink hard liquor and backhand a blonde floozy while driving on the open road - before the credits even rolled.

Now there's something James Bond never did.

What i ment was that both Sam and Solid make are much more captivating characters than bond IMO.

i have read the begining of some of the books(my friend has alot inculding some Ian Fleming versions)and never clinched me.

bond is a fun character but Sam has that attitued to him that bond does not,IMO.

Let's face facts here, all three of these guys are battling for second place. Honestly, Flint is better than all of them. If only there had been more movies.

That guy gets more tail than Brad Pitt at a drunk girl convention.

But I'm going to have to do with Snake Pliskin, the original snake.
