My cat has a problem... she got into a fight recently and got a bad scratch on her head. She wouldn't stop scratching it open again and again, so I went to the vet and got her one of those collars to make it impossible for her to scratch until that wound has healed of.

As you can imagine, poor Rakete (her name) isn't to happy about that. She keeps throwing fits and trying to shake it off, or else she sulks around the house, walking backwards most of the time. It's not only impossible for her to scratch, she can't clean herself either, so I had to rub her off with a damp cloth today (I still hurt...)

Also, I think she knows that all my friends who have seen her laughed at her and made fun of her.

All together now: Awwww :( . That happened to my uncle's cat, and he sulked for weeks. Kept dropping dead mice into the fruit basket. I reckon he did it on purpose...

You have to admire the cat's skill-still being able to get kills with a cone on its head.

I like how it appears to be looking wistfully at its paw. "Oh how I wish you could still reach my itching head..."

My old roommates cat had his hip dislocated after a dog got ahold of him and we watched him try and climb stair to get to her. We didn't want to pick him up and hurt him more but we couldn't stand watching it painfully inch its way up. Gives me shivers. That sucked...

It is a pain to watch a poor littl cat suffer in a thing like that. She keeps hitting it agains chairs and tables and corners, and she walks completely disorientated. But it's still better than scratching herself raw.
The scratch is healing of nicely though, so maybe we can give it a try on Monday. Would be good, because she starts to smell a bit :(

Ok just kidding, I'm sorry, don't tell your cat I laughed...anyways tell her not to worry her scratch well heal soon and it will be like it never happened, good as new. Also tell your cat I will be praying for her :)

a friend of mine used to live in an apartment complex where a stray cat was adopted by the entire building. that cat had free range in and out of every apartment, and free food for the asking.

one day it got into a very bad fight... (he still wonders what the other cat looked like) and one of the tenants took the cat to the vet and got him patched up. and yep, it had a collar and was a very fustrated kitty.

I suggest a grooming glove, the one he bought for the cat seemed to be a big hit. he would spend all day grooming the cat that couldn't groom himself.

Thats a cute cat, almost wish i could have a cat myself :( but i cant as my father is allergic to fur, that a really pretty picture hope the cat gets well soon, and give it a hug from me and the people of Vladeck Ifram (not my real name by the way :) )

Being a cat, she just decided that all the evil in the world (including that awful cone collar) will go away when you sleep... I think I'll just do the same now, if she leaves enough space on my bed ;)

I had a cat, once, but my brothers and dad are severly alergic, and both my brothers have asthma, so we had to give her to a friend. Eeya was her name. We had had a neibhor down the street who's daughter died of brain cancer when she was 19, and I was 5 at the time. Her name was Maria, but when I was young, I couldn't pernounce her name, I would call her "Eeya." So that's what we named our cat.

When me and my girlfriend get our own place, we're taking her cat, Tigirl. She's a sweet, very very fat little thing.
