There are some reasons on how Men are discriminated against.

In America, we are falling more and more toward an Amazonian society, and we must stop it.

For example, a woman can make fun a guy calling him lazy, fat, and stupid, and she'll be applauded. A man can make fun of a woman calling her whiny and petty, and he'll get sued.

Also, being Female increases your chances of a job or college admission, making it so men have to get more merit to be on equal level as a Female. This is discrimination again.

I have to go to sleep soon, and there are countless ways Men are discriminated against, but I will add more tommorow. Today, I implore people to help stop Sexism, and the Discrimination against Men.

Serapindal, don't make me write Episode VI already. Please. I'd rather save it for something good, but I will use it nonetheless.

Except that now-a-days, it seems feminism has become about female superiority, not equality. This is the exact same thing they were campaigning against, except now they're on the other side of the fence. It really iritates me.

No that is not what feminism is about. While it is true that some people claiming to feminists are about that, it is also true that some compulsive liers claim they are honest. The fact that feminist actually refers to 'one who seeks equality' neccesitates that anyone who seeks to achieve inequality is not a feminist, much like the the fact that to be honest refers to not lying means that one who is a compulsive lier is not honest.

Oh I know that, and I know all about the ideals of feminism, but I'm refering to, for lack of better words, "popular feminism" and the general feelings and ideas of people calling themselves "feminists", not the ideals of that belief. (Sorry if that made no sense, I'm really tired right now ^.^)

The fear or hatred of feminism is inversely proportional to an individual's manhood. Masculism is for the weak and the puny. Chivalry is for the strong and able. You Masculist whiners need to "cowboy up".

Most people in the modern world are feminists in the original sense of the world: let 'em vote already, let 'em have some say in what happens to 'em, treat them the same legally... I agree though, with those who say the feminist movement (not the idea of feminism) has gone too far. Is that what you meant, Takuma?

Real feminists strive for equality, radical feminists want to round up men into concentration camps except for the odd male child who can be used in their ritual sacrifices to their amazon goddesses. In every movement there is an extremist element and these are usually only supported by the half mad and frankly moronic members.

You do have a point - it is very much the case that women can get away with mocking men and constantly claiming they are the most intelligent gender. However, if a man happens to point out that if that is the case, how come there are far more male geniuses than female even today, they will be called sexist. That and domestic violence against women is painted as the worse thing on earth by some feminists, yet they shrug off domestic violence against men because 'He was probably asking for it'.

I do understand why people get frustrated when they are subjected to extremism parading itself as something else, but the problem is feminists do not deserve to be denegrated because of the actions of non-feminists who just happen to like appropriating their name. If a whole bunch of people started to make silly demands on the basis that they were X (X in this case referring to some group you personally belong to, but that the persons making silly demands actually do not belong to) wouldnt that be cause for people to sympathise with you having to put up with having your group's identity appropriated by trouble makers, rather than a reason to give you a hard time, and think poorly of you?

But what i think the thread author is saying is the political correntness that is rampent in todays world, where white males have NO rights, whereas women and minorities have every oppurtunity.

Well, thats how it is in england, and i hate political correctness sooooo bloody much!!! grrr!

If white males have no rights or opportunities whilst ethnic minorities have loads, how come they still underachieve in schools and are rarely in positions of power?

I believe women are being given unfair advantages, especially in the school system which now seems to solely cater for girls and ignore boys, such as the introduction of coursework because girls do better in coursework and not too well in exams. The same cannot be said for ethnic minorities.
